Extraleague 2025- signings, fixtures and rumours
TTT replied to racers and royals's topic in International World of Speedway
That Rybnik line-up isn't bad at all considering they were late to the party and had a limited pool of riders to choose from. -
Rode for Brum.
-
So possibly no Lindgren, Brennan, Z. Cook & Lampart now. Riders left from 2024 who didn't ride for Birmingham if all current rumoured Premiership 1-7's are correct. Vuolas, Rew?, Kerr, Wojdylo, Tarasenko, Mountain, Kemp, Bailey & J. Thompson
-
Goes from bad to worse for Brum.
-
Judging by the PR, I'm reading it as Stewart wanted Lawson to stay and perhaps Douglas would've been the one to make way (Birmingham) as it would've fell in line with the earlier rumours. Then as soon as Lawson wanted to go to King's Lynn, It was a no brainer to offer Douglas a return in 2025.

Same. Wolves engine room of Schlein, S. Worrall and Z. Cook is a good shout assuming Rew heads to BV. Add in Thorssell and then it's 4 former Wolves riders.
-
That's what I've got pencilled in. I think Leicester may struggle next season, Howarth for Lawson is a big downgrade imo. Richard stepped up and coverd for riders who were underperforming last season on a fair share of occasions which is why Stewart elected Richard for a lot of Heat 15's. Leicester need the real Luke Becker to turn up in 2025.

Schlein has signed for Berwick so he's another possible option for Brum with big Wolves connections.
-
Stewart hinting at more of the same in the Lawson PR.
-
That's why I'm putting together a 1-7 mostly full of British based riders that aren't rumoured for another club. I just cant see Tolley signing up a team of overseas riders as he's already gone public in regards to the financial situation at the club. I'd be looking at the ageing riders coming towards the end of their careers who may want to top up the retirement fund like Zagar, Kildemand, Kasprzak (If he's still riding). I think they'll get Thorssell due to the Wolves connections.
-
Yes, Rumoured to be signing for Scunny. Not ruling out Lampart to Oxford as they'll have just over 5 pts to use assuming Musielak is the No.1.
-
Just looking at the riders averages around KL in 2024 on gbspeedway.com. Ben Cook from 4 Meetings, 8.60 (Not Inc BP's) and 9.20 (Inc BP's) Nicolai Klindt from 4 Meetings, 8.00 (Not Inc BP's) and 8.40 (Inc BP's) Jan Kvech from 8 Meetings, 7.73 (Not Inc BP's) and 8.18 (Inc BP's) Richard Lawson from 7 Meetings, 7.67 (Not Inc BP's) and 8.56 (Inc BP's) Niels-Kristian Iversen from 12 Meetings, 6.48 (Not Inc BP's) and 7.24 (Inc BP's) Chris Harris from 5 Meetings, 5.54 (Not Inc BP's) and 6.31 (Inc BP's)

Who else is available is the question? Imo Tolley won't be able to afford a team of overseas riders. Anyone operating on a tight budget would more than likely look for British based riders.
-
All KL need is for one rider to have a breakthrough season and become a No.1, Kvech could very well be that rider now that he's had a look at most tracks in the country. Only meetings I can potentially see KL losing at Home are against Ipswich but I'd fancy Ipswich to win at least 75% of their regular league fixtures next season. I totally understand the top end power opinions away from home but compare it to Sheffield for example who've got top end power but offers nothing when it comes to the tail end which only levels itself out imo.
-
Think he's signed up in Denmark but I'm not 100% sure on that.
-
I don't see Rew at Birmingham. 1. Kurtz 2. Blodorn 3. Lidsey 4. Rew (Z. Cook if Rew isn't riding in the UK) 5. Bewley 6. Zischke 7. Mulford (RS)
-
Chances of getting Rew are very minimal because Mark Lemon will jump at the chance to sign him for BV. However the good news is either Zach Cook or Track Specialist Norick Blodorn would be available to Birmingham. Using realistic riders only whilst taking a tight budget into consideration rather than building a strong expensive side that features unrealistic riders. 1. ? 2. Lampart 3. S. Worrall 4. Z. Cook or Blodorn 5. Thorssell 6. Sedgmen or Kerr 7. Edwards (RS)
-
Klindt confirmed as the team captain.
-
If I'm paying Buster/KL a compliment then you know it's a damn good side lol.
-
Best KL side in years and they're the dark horses in 2025, No Superstars but it's rock solid and it's a tried and tested formula that's worked for the management in the past at Peterborough. I'll be chucking £10 on them as they're bound to be overpriced in the market, 100% Play-Off side barring injuries imo. No threat of riders walking out or falling out with the management because it's 6 Riders who've worked alongside Buster and Rob regularly in the past while the RS (Boughen) will have his mentor in the pits. KL also have 6 Riders who can all win races around the AFA on a consistent basis, The team is basically 6 x 3rd Heat Leaders and a Rising Star. Lastly a couple of these riders are on bargain GSA's, If Kvech done a full season then his average would've gone up and if Klindt didn't get injured then his average would've gone up as well due to his brilliant form around the AFA.

Zagar's signed for Tarnow so maybe he's an option?
-
They've got more chance of signing Aston Villa winger Leon Bailey.
-
Love it when clubs just get it over a done with ASAP instead of drip fedding announcements. Fair enough if it's Birmingham because fans of the sport genuinely have no idea about who's lining up for them but everyone else is common knowledge at this point so clubs may as well confirm everything now considering we're already in Mid-November. Fans can get those season tickets then.

They've probably read this forum, So no point in holding announcements back.
