The place is a joke, Literally so dangerous to a point where you've got to scrape the fence almost from the get go in order to stand a chance of making up some ground.
Sheffield have to get a 5-1 off Gates 1 & 3 over Blodorn and Mulford otherwise any slim hope of a comeback will be gone imo as it's BV's weakest pairing on paper.
Hope BV can put up 40 just to make the Grand Final spectacle worth watching for one leg of the Grand Final unfortunately I think they'll fall just short though.
Howarth, Pickering & Bomber won't ride like that at Owlerton and Sheffield will win the reserve battle imo.
What happened in the past for everyone to start disliking Jack Holder? He seems universally hated and I don't know why.
Was it something in his Poole days?
Maybe he only agreed to guest if it was for both legs and not just the Home leg?
Did Ipswich offer him both legs of the SF against Leicester and that forced Sheffield's hand? I don't know why he was booked for the Belle Vue trip otherwise because he doesn't like the NSS.
Bomber will fill his boots around Sheffield though imo.
This works out to around 4/5 so I'll be placing my final bets on the British season.
SHEFFIELD to Win the Premiership @ 12/5........BELLE VUE to Win the Premiership @ 14/5
Leicester needed a corrupt referee just to sneak past a drastically weakened Ipswich, I see Leicester getting battered at Belle Vue or Sheffield.
Best track in the world imo.
Hopefully BV manage to put up 40 at Sheffield on Thursday otherwise the Grand Final is going to be dire on two tracks that produce no racing whatsoever where everything is settled after two bends.
Lidsey's had a poor season but he's really stepped up tonight.
Down to Bewley and Kurtz to give BV a fighting chance in the second leg, They'll need two heat advantages because 8 points isn't enough.
Not in regards to that race but he's too much of a nice guy.
Doesn't have that killer instinct like Lindgren who'd leave no racing room and make an opponent shut the throttle off completely in order to stay on their bike.
Keep it going BV.
Leicester v Sheffield would be the worst possible spectacle for fans purely due to the tracks being gate and go.
BV in the Final means we'll at least get one evening's worth of entertaining racing.
