  1. Redcar were excellent makes the second leg interesting.BSN coverage while the pictures are good it lacks any sound of an atmosphere in the stadium, bikes roaring etc as though the microphones are only switched on for the commentators I may be being fussy but spoils it for me,any thoughts or should we be grateful we can watch live speedway ?
  2. Nothing negative at all last season we carried a 2 pt rider because the other six were good enough lucky may be but we were but you can't carry two reserves who don't win races, reserves are trump cards in many meetings but if they can't beat other teams reserves then your not going to win many meetings
  3. Hi Skidder 1 As you are quite knowledgeable on Poole speedway matters if the council own the stadium why don't they take back ownership and rerun greyhounds as I believe they stopped running due to covid and now it's sort of over with speeedway guaranteed with the Ford's then all issues may be solved or is the San Miguel getting to me.
  4. Can't fault the Ford's always build a winning team but the track must have enough shale as to allow good racing, passing and exciting heats trap and go is no good to fans will only fuel the Poole haters on here.
  5. Well a win is a win but wouldn't want to watch that every week and paid £11-99 for the privilege.Plymouth were poor and if the starts were doctored packed with loads of dirt then they all should have been whizzing away.Know nothing about track prep etc but there was no passing it was gate and go but even with my Poole hat on that's no good at least the track is hole and bump free.Early days yet but we do look strong can't see our reserves losing many races at home
  6. May be wrong but reserves should be the deciding factor here,Oxford have excellent heat leaders so should they will score well against all teams but Poole had a 2pt reserve last season and he never won a race and Oxford have 2 this season but they may be riding rockets so could be a surprise package but strength in depth this year unlike last year could be key still so long as the racing is close and exciting everyone will be happy
  7. Back to the prem you know they want us ? well I'm sure this league well the fans may not want us as we keep winning but harder this year as some good teams been built but should we win or even come second/third the prem maybe the place to be with some returning stars pedersen, sayfutinov, bewley etc won't earn what they do in Poland but maybe it's the place to be,a call to Magic and a couple of returning Aussies Holder,Kurtz and we can mix of with the big boys
  8. Yes along with his availability to guest on a lower average, seen him shut the throttle off near the finish line when he's leading his team mate home coming second still I believe gets paid a win very clever.
  9. If he is your mate why do you want his team to finish at the bottom of the league, clearly that will never happen but I struggle to understand your dislike for Poole speedway.I've read your posts and some are funny and realistic and some are well just controversial and this is a forum for real speedway fans.Poole are successful because they build teams to win,i wish all other clubs were able to build the same strength teams and the league would be more closer.Older fans will remember when riders were told what teams they could join to keep things equal.
  10. Went to Hackney every time Poole were the visitors as it's only up the road and when Super Simmo used to guest for Hackney which he did more than once, excellent track but car park was difficult as unless you got there early you all parked in rows and could not move till all in front moved but good times and they had some entertaining rider Zenon Plech and Bo Petersen to name but a few.
  11. I think Ben Cook will be pushing Worrall in the averages next season.Lawson very clever rider happy to come 2nd so his average is not to high gives him more scope for guest bookings but I may be wrong am I ?
  12. And following on from the Piratecast Danny mentioned a couple of guest's for the jubilee match so for a bit of fun and we all like to guess who's in and who's not then who do we think will be our guests against Leicester,I am looking towards the Holders,Kurtz or a long shot Magic as a one of he might fancy the gig.Anyone want to throw any other names into the hat ?.
  13. But on shale even with your anti Poole hat on Worrall and Lawson will deliver and the Cooks will only get better indeed Ben I reckon will overtake Worrall in the averages,Thomas seems an excellent signing going by the opinion On here so that looks a good side so far now I know nothing about your mate but if he's that good and given we've got one more to sign and I'm sure HGOULD knows who that is roll on the season.
  14. That's ok if you have a good 6 man team which is what Poole had last season and carried a 2pt reserve who tried as he did but never won a race. This season the 2 pointers will win races against each other but won't beat anyone else most of the time.
  15. If 5-6 sides are near equal we could have some excellent meetings this season.Don't want any one sided matches they are about as exciting as rock climbing.
  16. Clearly you have an issue with Poole with this soppy comment so to back it up HOW do you know it was known on 23rd of November,
  17. With a few 2 point reserves in sides next season if these two become our 6 and 7 we will win a few races although I know nothing about Roynon apart from his commentary on streamed meetings last season it was him wasn't it.Newman done well when he started at Poole I'm sure he'd be happy to return but Matt may surprise us all.
  18. I have the attitude as you do if you want to go you will go.I realise money is tight but how tight,I don't want to sound arrogant or whatever the word is but people say life is to short so who gives a monkey's about money if you've got it and enjoy speedway i can't believe £20 -£30 quid is to much for a night's enjoyment especially if you have a local track.I'm sure my friends brother would love to spend money to go to a meeting but he can't as he went to bed one night a few years ago and never woke up that's why I don't worry about spending money.Enjoy what you can afford don't think something is to expensive it's only money.
  19. Fair point Lisa the Ford's don't get much wrong and if he is in next year's team who am I to judge just didn't understand his behaviour at not wanting to be involved in the final celebration.
  20. Drew Kemp thought he was a good signing last season but his attitude after winning the play off was awful completely sulking unless he had a family issue then don't think Poole fans would want him back.
  21. I suppose no team is complete until riders have signed the club contract so if Poole have as you suggest gazumped a couple then it's like man utd or man city come calling you don't think twice as big crowds and possibility of winning trophies is a deciding factor and do Poole pay more money I've no idea but would think Glasgow are the top payers no evidence at all but just a guess.Who was the Redcar rider who run away to another team.As for Jack Thomas if your initial suggestion is true he could be a trump card at reserve.
  22. I have no idea but do you think riders say to clubs i'm waiting for so and so club to offer me a place if not I'll sign for you,is that how speedway works ? Oh and I have put two posts on Brum site but as a Poole fan I am not looking to take over this site but just answering two posts.
  23. £20 is a lot to some people but if you can afford it and love you speedway then there's a turnstile waiting for you.Can I ask what did you pay the last time you attended a Newcastle meeting ?.
  24. No surprise at all think all interest is in the three we don't know and who's guesses turn out to be correct.
  25. The black pig I think was his ship ? More gifts well most have been opened we have four presents that don't need unwrapping but the last three do are some of them from the sandpaper gate country or closer to home.
