On the night the best team won, would Leicester have won if they were at home we will never know but I think it's doubtful only my take On it.Poole have tracked a six man team all season with all respect to Nathan but doing that has enabled them to have three no 1's and the Cook brothers and Drew in the same team.Drew has not kicked on like many thought he would this season and his lack of interest in the celebrations tonight look like he's been told he has not got a place next season.Richard,Steve and Danny excellent but the Cook brothers having never been to Kings Lynn before won us the meeting and I reckon Buster is asking Middlo for their phone numbers to get in quick for next season.Big statement this but I see something in Ben that reminds me of Darcy early days yet but I bet after Richard he's next to be signed for next season. There is a lot of dislike of Poole on here from a few but the Ford's are Poole speedway fanatics and nearly always build winning teams and know the business back to front and I say again if they had turned up at for example Redcar,Scunny,or Plymouth to name but three would you be disappointed.Season over now well jubilee cup thing not sure how you can run this next season when Leicester will have a premiership team and Poole a championship team but who knows, maybe next season all will be fine but we need the right people in charge.

With all these postponed attempts at trying to stage the second leg it has given all fans the opportunity to put their take On events all with differing opinions what went wrong and what the answers are etc seen a few saying they don't care anymore and that is understandable but in reality we all want well Leicester and Poole fans want the final resolved but it must be at Leicester it's only fair and not forgetting the riders who look forward to a final pay day before putting the bikes away for the winter.Next season the powers that be must sort all this mess out arrange the league matches during the summer months and leave all other auxiliary fixtures to run if and when.

I am sure Leicester are doing all they can to get the meeting on,whether any issues arose prior to tomorrow re track/shale is wet dry someone didn't or did do what ever is irrelevant get the meeting on tomorrow or Sunday or whenever they can certainly don't want to possibly win by having ridden the home leg only no way to win then once it's completed all the powers that be can see what may have been done wrong and make sure it don't happen again would start with the obvious running play offs in October.Howarth getting married in October he would have assumed season would have been over by now and Scott try as he will I would have thought Leicester fans would prefer Kyle to be riding his home track.Still it is what it is hopefully the meeting goes ahead and we can defend our lead. The track clearly won't be perfect so depends which team has the best gaters on the night and brave enough to fly round the boards if needed.

Excellent that Oxford have returned and getting well supported which is great news for speedway.Hopefully next season the promoter will have a better budget with the big crowds to build a more competitive team as last season was full of optimism but final league position would have been disappointing.Poole will probably have to let one of their heat leaders go next season so ready made no1 for Oxford or whoever needs a top championship rider.

Who of the big three do you think will be let go ?

Essex replied to Arthur54's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Leicester and possibly Glasgow going top league next season so 14 riders looking for a job in championship so Basso Brennan Cook Morris Howarth Worrall lots of choice for Plymouth so no need for season long guest at No 1 -
Excellent win and meeting, the way Ben Cook is riding at present seems like we have four number one's.Streaming was ok good commentary pity he was on his own but did well, could have done with some interviews during and after the meeting and camera in pits would be good but don't know who pays for it maybe not a big budget but enjoyable.

Poole Vs Glasgow 28/09/22 play off SF 1st leg
Essex replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Always a few comments about Poole track being a gate and go with no passing but watched " Elite " league play off last night and almost no passing pretty much gate and go.As for Poole's demolition of Glasgow you have to say the Ford's always build good teams yes we've been lucky with no injuries but when it matters the team deliver. -
Why does everybody hate Poole?
Essex replied to FishersGate's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Matt Ford just loves his speedway and Poole Pirates,if everyone is honest with themselves I reckon they would wish he had come along and been their clubs promoter. He knows all the rules and how to use them to his and Poole's advantage and that obviously grates with some On here but a large full trophy cabinet suggests he gets most things right even if he's not everyone's favourite outside of Wimborne Road.As for the POSF reading the SGB website it was the Glasgow riders who wanted the match to be abandoned -
Oxford Vs Poole Jubilee Cup &Return 2nd-3rd August
Essex replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
No wonder speedway is losing support when these things happen you want all teams to be competitive but only winner is other teams riders making a few quid imagine in football your star player is busted you just borrow another centre forward each week still I love speedway and if this is a way for it to continue so be it. -
Oxford Vs Poole Jubilee Cup &Return 2nd-3rd August

I realise this is nothing to do with this topic but can somebody who's clued up on the rules explain how can Plymouth have a guest every week for Eddie Kennett.Surely they get a dispensation for say a month then you must replace him or is it the lack of options so guest's it is.Thanks. -
Poole Pirates Vs Berwick Bandits 29/6/22
Essex replied to Shaleshifter's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
The last few meetings seem to highlight we are a 6 man team, try as he may Nathan is not scoring any points and I wonder how long the Ford's will let this situation continue. If they choose to make a change will one of the other 6 be sacrificed or am I talking nonsense ? -
Is this meeting being streamed can't see any info on either website

First stream I've taken must say commentary and picture excellent.Good start but only half way.Not seen many away tracks in this league but this track makes Wimborne Road look enormous.

Oxford were completely outclassed and looked a poor side winning only one race.I am no expert at all but the track looked in excellent condition maybe a bit more dirt on the outside but the chap On the tractor did rough it up before the start but don't think made any difference as Oxford riders just were to slow. Most of them have ridden Poole many times before and to have a hole free track that looked as flat as a pancake should have been ideal for them as it was for the home riders.
