  1. Replace Dicken with Max Perry if you're just going to ignore the points limit like that!
  2. There's only 5 home NDL matches, and enough Saturdays in the season for his two clubs to avoid any clashes.
  3. J Thompson 9.08 T Spencer 5.78 M James 5.70 A Butcher 4.69 V Foord 3.81 C King 3.39 W Cairns 3.00
  4. Belle Vue have loaned him to Redcar for the 2024 Championship season. Doesn't look like he'll start the 2024 season in the Premiership, but could come in if a Rising Star or reserve gets injured.
  5. 3 NDL meetings at Edinburgh at the end of the 2021 season, is 3 NDL meetings at Edinburgh at the end of a season. Not enough to gain an average. A full season at Belle Vue is a full season at Belle Vue. As I said, the only full season he's had. A season where he went from 3.00 to 5.29 which is pretty decent. He crashed out in his first meeting of 2023, and made 1 guest appearance in the last match of the year.... So still only completed 1 full NDL season. It's not difficult to understand. I didn't say he'd become heat leader standard. In his only full season he increased his average by 2.29 which is very decent.
  6. But you thought he'd never achieved a 4 average, when the reality is that in his one and only full season in the NDL he went from 3.00 to 5.29
  7. And his average is 5.29 which isn't "yet to get above a 4 average"
  8. Only if you wanted them to end up being called "Oxford Cheetah McCheetahface". With Oxford being synonymous with boating, it might have been better to honour the local river and called the team "Oxford Isis"
  9. You asked the question on Saturday.... The day after the team had been announced. ...And you asked literally right in the middle of a discussion on what people thought of the announced team. Perhaps there is a need to get smart after all.
  10. Poole have been after Zischke for two years? And they've lost out to Workington! How the mighty have fallen.
  11. Berwick and Kent both said before the end of the season that they wouldn't be running in 2024. Workington have joined the Championship, but I haven't heard anything saying they are pulling out of NDL. I would expect them to be there.
  12. Berwick, Kent and Mildenhall have pulled out which leaves 5. Add in Scunthorpe Stags (as given away by BSPL website) and your 6 are:- Armadale, Belle Vue, Leicester, Oxford, Scunthorpe & Workington.
  13. The video of the incident has been out there in public on the internet since the day it happened. (Although I don't recommend watching it. I saw it without realising what I was about to watch). I'd say it was a freak accident the type of which could happen in any dangerous contact sport.
  14. Makes sense that the police would be investigating an unexpected death like this, but I can't see it resulting in a manslaughter charge.
  15. Why would "believe" come into it? I've only stated facts. Almost everyone has access to the internet, and should be capable of googling cheap flights. It's only the same as flying to the G.P.s in Poland at a fraction of the cost of driving to the Cardiff G.P, as many do every year.
  16. Correct. You see, unlike the people just making stuff up, I actually got a quote for a flight to see what it cost. At the time I posted, a flight for me on the day the AGM starts and returning on the day it finishes was £58. But if I booked for different dates, with around a fortnight's notice, the cheapest I could get it down to was £31 round trip. Similarly there was a plentiful supply of hotels where 2 nights in Tenerife were cheaper than two nights in a Premier Inn standard of hotel in Coventry. But why go to the trouble of looking up the prices like you and I did, when you can just post made-up drivel?
  17. Wednesday 15 November to Friday 17 November.
  18. That deflection twaddle would be a "No" then to my question. You couldn't get all the promoters from all over the country to drive to Rugby for less than the cost of a £31 flight to Tenerife.
  19. Go on Einstein. Show us how £80 of petrol to and from Rugby for 3 days is cheaper than a £31 flight to Tenerife.
  20. No. Basically the 5 teams from last year's Premiership but with Birmingham hopefully moving up from the Championship. Still a possibility of Oxford joining the Premiership, (as well as Championship), but personally I would be surprised if they do
  21. 9 March 2005. He's from Middlesbrough area.
  22. He will be when Ipswich are the visitors to the NSS
  23. If it was in the UK he'd be whinging because it would cost a lot more. I could book a flight to Tenerife now for £58 return. (Had I booked in advance weeks ago I could get that down to £31 return). To drive to Rugby and back would cost approx £80 in petrol. For a three-day conference in Rugby, travelling each day, that would be £240 of petrol. Or I could book a hotel for 2 nights at maybe £80 per night in a budget hotel, so that's still a total of £240. Then the BSPL would have to hire a room in ACU house for 3 days. Split between 20 or so promoters that probably only adds an extra £20 or so. Two nights in one of Tenerife's numerous hotels is going to cost less than trying to find a Premier Inn in Coventry. So overall it's considerably cheaper to go to Tenerife.
