  1. It was a surprise to see him struggle so much at Lynn - considering what he had done the previous 2 years there…
  2. Line-ups declared Oxford 1. C Wright 2. M Janowski 3. C Cook 4. R Tungate 5. E Riss 6. P Kildemand 7. L Killeen King’s Lynn 1. R Lawson 2. K Howarth (G) 3. N Klindt 4. N K Iversen 5. C Harris 6. J Kvech 7. J Scott Still sticking to by my guns that it should be a narrow Stars win.
  3. Rob said on Monday that they will be rotating between Luke and Jody. They just have to redeclare their lineup each time
  4. Early predictions for this one. Will Janowski be fit for the Spires? Is Craig Cook back? Assume Blodorn will guest for Cook? Jody Scott for Boughen this time? I’m going for a narrow Stars win - 43-47. edit - Blodorn is riding for Poznan, so can’t be him. Maybe Z Cook this time round?
  5. The other side of that argument is that he could be missing out on additional revenue from fans who don’t want to/can’t attend, if he’s broadcasting the stream..
  6. Nothing specific, just the way he said certain things about how the team isn’t performing how they envisaged it and that they’re not all clicking at the same time. Just gave the impression that they may be looking to make changes
  7. A solid enough win for the Stars last night, but as has been mentioned, the Brummies certainly made them work for it. 5-1’s at crucial times put the meeting to bed though. Can’t see Lynn winning the aggregate point with a 9-point lead to defend. It was more consistent night throughout the 1-6 - Harrison looked miles of it, but he gave it 100% for all 4 laps which is all we can ask for. Listening to Rob Lyon do an interview before the meeting I got the impression that there may be a team change in the not to distant future - don’t know if anyone else who attended picked up on that…
  8. The team is fine if they all click together and are consistent at the same time. However, this is speedway and when does that ever happen? The way the 1-7 is built, all it takes is for 1 of the boys to have a stinker and then there’s no chance.
  9. My personal opinion is I would prefer riders to go through the qualifying system to prove they’re capable enough to ride in the GP, rather than expect a wildcard based on their name, nationality etc etc. I personally think the wildcard system is a joke anyway. The SGP stated that “12 spots in the 15-rider line-up can now only be earned on sporting merit”. It should be the whole 15-rider lineup earned on sporting merit, whether that is through the SGP itself, or qualifying. I would structure it as follows: Top 8 automatically qualify Top 6 from SGP Challenge qualify SEC Champion qualifies That way every position has been earned by sporting merit, and not some joke wildcard pick, which are being wasted by not even selecting the riders who should be in the SGP anyway (Laguta and Sayfutdinov)…
  10. Harrison is expected, but Blodorn is a poor choice. Assuming he’s the only one who accepted the booking…
  11. Early predictions for this one? Rob Lyon stated that a guest has been booked for B Cook for this meeting. Belle Vue, Ipswich and Oxford are not racing so my preferred choice of guest would be Danny King, but more likely will be Z Cook. Stars to win comfortably, regardless of guest choice. 50-40. KLS 1. R Lawson - 9 (4) 2. Z Cook? - 4 (4) 3. N Klindt - 5 (4) 4. N K Iversen - 7 (4) 5. C Harris - 10 (5) 6. J Kvech - 14 (6) 7. L Harrison? - 1 (3) Total - 50 BB 1. R/R? 2. P Castagna - 5 (5) 3. T Musielak - 12 (7) 4. K Rew - 6 (5) 5. M Zagar - 9 (6) 6. J Jeppesen - 4 (4) 7. J Edwards - 4 (4) Total - 40
  12. Palm Toft? About to get back on the saddle with Edinburgh so equipment should be decent. Surprised you guys didn’t use him yesterday…unless he wasn’t asked. Can’t imagine he would’ve declined the booking. If I recall correctly he’s always been half decent at Foxhall as well
  13. Still sticking with my guns and going with a 52-38 scoreline tonight. Lynn will never get a better opportunity to get one over on Ipswich than this. 1. R Lawson - 10 (5) 2. P Kildemand - 4 (3) 3. N Klindt - 8 (4) 4. C Harris - 7 (4) 5. N K Iversen - 6 (4) 6. J Kvech - 16 (7) 7. A Boughen - 1 (3) Total - 52 1. E Sayfutdinov - 16 (6) 2. R/R 3. A Ellis - 4 (5) 4. T Brennan - 8 (6) 5. D King - 5 (5) 6. S Lambert - 1 (3) 7. J Jenkins - 4 (5) Total - 38
  14. Think you’ll find Jake Mulford was actually dropped previously for Conor Bailey…
  15. If I recall correctly he has certainly enjoyed his visits to Saddlebow Road over the last 2 years: 03.08.23 - 11+1 (4) 04.09.23 - 14 (5) 23.05.24 - 17+1 (6) 25.07.24 - 13+2 (5) Only losing a single point to an opposing rider from 20 rides is untouchable. I would expect him to score 16 (6). The no T/S option in the cup will be of big benefit to Lynn.
  16. Ritchie must be scared of Boughen, as he rightfully should be!!!
  17. He’s been poor so far this year for Scunthorpe. Definitely not a match winner like DT could’ve been. Can only seeing Emil go well for Ipswich tbh. Will be interesting to see if Lynn go with Kildemand again on Thursday if Ipswich decide to to use Riss as a guest for Doyle…
  18. King’s Lynn 1. R Lawson, 2. P Kildemand, 3. N Klindt, 4. C Harris, 5. N K Iversen, 6. J Kvech, 7. A Boughen Ipswich 1. E Sayfutdinvov, 2. J Doyle R/R, 3. A Ellis, 4. T Brennan, 5. D King, 6. S Lambert (G), 7. J Jenkins Being totally unbiased, I can only see a Lynn win here with Kvech scoring high teens from 7 rides. 52-38
  19. As it typically is with most Rising Stars. Away from home, realistically the most you’d ever hope for is 3 points from 3 rides, beating your fellow rising star in heat 2, 4 (if a reserve switch isn’t made), and 8. Saying that, even if they got 1 from 3, as a TM you’d be happy with that away from home. No one is expecting the RS to go and win the meeting. I think at Lynn we’ve just had enough of seeing Boughen give up going into the 1st corner if he hasn’t hit the front. We just want to see a trier, who gives 100% effort all the time, regardless whether they finish 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th
  20. Season is already gone, unfortunately. Only realistic chance of some silverware is the K.O. Cup when facing a weakened Ipswich team in a couple of weeks
  21. Should have went for Joe T, but that ship has well and truly sailed. Think Jody would be a better option around Saddlebow Road (maybe sign both and have one as a no.8 so they are interchangeable) if that still exists…
  22. I just automatically fear the worst now, given what has happened in the last 3 seasons: Jakobsen - 2023 Laguta - 2023 Pickering - 2023 Musielak - 2024 Tarasenko - 2024 Appreciate Ben will put Leszno first (understandably), just hope they don’t try and put the block on him. Assume he has to ride in the UK anyway given he’s living in Poole and his visa situation.
  23. Having watched Ben’s interview on BSN last night, I’m getting some serious doubts whether he will be back in Stars colours this season. I can see something similar happening like it did with Pickering a couple of seasons ago, and Belle Vue managing to find a way to declare him in their 1-7
  24. This was from his time purely at no. 6 and includes the two K/O cup matches against Oxford
  25. I just personally can’t see he would’ve done. Don’t think Harris could’ve done a lot more: 11+1 (5) @ Oxford 3+1 (4) @BV (a track he has always maintained he doesn’t like) 11+2 (7) @ Sheffield Averaged 6.25 from his away meetings 17+1 (6) vs Oxford 14+3 (7) vs BV 16+2 (7) vs Leicester 9 (4) vs Oxford Averaged 9.33 from his home meetings Combined average @ no.6 - 8.1
