  1. While Boughen is carrying an injury, he is prone to completely disappearing in meetings. It's hard to believe the rider I'm watching tonight is the same one that got a 15-point maximum at Redcar. Very inconsistent, but still very young.
  2. Killeen likes it against Poole. They must be sick of the sight of him.
  3. Expected line-up for tomorrow: 1. Sam McGurk 2. Ashton Boughen 3. Freddy Hodder 4. Jody Scott 5. Sonny Springer, 6. Luke Killeen 7. Ben Trigger 8. Vinnie Foord 9. William Cairns 10. Ashton Vale 11. Max Perry 12. Stene Pijper 13. Ace Pijper 14. Luke Harrison 15. Senna Summers 16. Max James Reserves: William Hocaniuk and Jamie Etherington.
  4. My comment was more the fact that there is likely to be some sort agreement already in place for Oxford to declare they are running in three leagues, otherwise they would have surely waited. It wasn't an 'Oxford are doing this, so screw the rest of the league comment'. Strange how some people take comments the wrong way.
  5. Neither do any of the other 14 to be fair - maybe they shouldn't bother.
  6. The simple fact Oxford have already stated they will be doing all three leagues again next season suggests there's no way it's returning to 2 home and 2 away format in 2025. They would never be able to fit all the fixtures in.
  7. Absolutely. Brilliant racing and an even better city. It's win-win.
  8. Jack Holder hasn't got four points yet, you've got the wrong scoring system (plus he actually needs five points due to countback)... ...but Tom Brennan was already in the GP Challenge thanks to Ļebedevs winning the SEC. Jacob Thorssell qualifies should Holder (or Kubera) overhaul Michelsen.
  9. You seem to have missed my point. My argument wasn't whether Russians should be allowed in the sport or not... it was if they are allowed, they shouldn't have to go through the qualifiers to get back into the SGP.
  10. Hope so. Would much rather have Ben Cook riding against us at home than Danny King.
  11. There's no reason Oxford can't race on other days of the week. We get good crowds whenever we race! 😁
  12. Half of Oxford is currently under water, so the state of the track at the moment is probably even more of a concern than how much is going to fall on Wednesday afternoon. Oxford has history of trying to get meetings on though, some successfully - some not so. Don't expect an early call off.
  13. Why on earth would you cash out at 5/1, when you can currently back Belle Vue at 5/4 instead?
  14. Or perhaps it was just more obvious for somebody who already knew the result and caught up this morning, as opposed to being there and watching it live.
  15. I was there....and I can tell you there was doubt for pretty much every Cheetahs fan until Gilkes produced that pass in heat 14. It was no certainty at any point before that.
  16. Another cracking meeting tonight. Fair play to Scunthorpe for keeping it so close, but Nicholls and Masters proving to be the difference once again in heats 13 and 15. Special mention to Dan Gilkes in heat 14 - that was one hell of a ride.
  17. Oxford confirmed tonight that the Spires will be racing in the Premiership again next season (and will once again be running in all three leagues).
  18. This is a tough one for Oxford. Feels like almost all the team I'm uncertain about Retain: Janowski Boughen Unsure: Harris Wright Tungate Killeen Replace: Riss
  19. Poole fans are very happy every month.... for clarification, just read any thread on the forum.
  20. It will be a disgrace If they stick Artem Laguta - a man who never lost his title - in the qualifiers.
  21. Not Leicester's fault, but got to feel sorry for Ipswich. Worst referee performance I've seen in a long time.
  22. Becker excluded, what an absolute disgrace. Sorry, couldn't resist! 😁
