Eurosport, terrible professionalism.

She is a total embarrassment -
If the semi-finals and finals have to stay….. Points scored in the usual way in heats 1-20 accumulate over the season towards the World Individual Championship. On the night, as now, the top eight scorers qualify for semi-finals and final to decide the Grand Prix (or Rider of the night), but no points from those last three races are included in the World Championship reckoning.

Telling us you’ve followed the sport since you were 10 is not very informative, and could lead you open to some rude responses. -
The most dangerous riders

Kelvin Tatum seems to have invented, amongst others, the phrase “hard charger”. There used to be “hard riders”, the first one of those I saw was dear old Ron Mountford, though I wouldn’t class him as a “dangerous rider”. Watching Jack Holder riding “wall of death” style around Owlerton on Monday looked quite dangerous, although mainly to himself. -

Then why have you started SO MANY pointless new threads on the forum? -
The second test at Brandon was partially covered by BBC-TV (Sportsview, I think). At the same meeting, Nigel Boocock beat Ove Fundin in the Golden Helmet. Some night that was!

Mine is the 1970 World Final in Wrocław, where Ivan Mauger carried off the title despite everything the East Europeans put in his way. Never been quite as emotional as when the National Anthem was played. Travelled with Ray Glover’s party from Sheffield.

Your Worst Rain-off Experiences
midlandred replied to TonyMac's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Not rain, but fog! I was at Crewe in 1969 when their meeting with Long Eaton was abandoned after seven heats. Perhaps on a smaller track they could have carried on???!!! -
Or the Liquorice Allsorts?

Old Time Speedway has gone missing too!

Karl is mystified why it’s been deactivated, with no explanation from FB. Speedway Scrapbook has offered him a way back.

Remember watching him in the “third half” races, great entertainment post meeting!

Seven for me, Chunks!

Sad news indeed. One of the very best in an era of many great riders. Condolences to Chris and the rest of the family. RIP Tiger.

Me too. Just seven days older than Flyer!

The clue is in the thread title. World Final winners, not GP series winners.
