  1. Think we need a bit more clarity of this new rule. Is it an accumulated percentage reduction, like yiu have calculated, or is it exponential reduction. For example, it could be 8% × 5 seasons = 40%, which would be 5.27×0.6 = 3.16. Or, is if, 5.27×0.92^5 = 3.47.
  2. Theres probably numerous degree trained people browsing this forum. Degree in engineering here and I also dont know for certain 🤣
  3. You round up the answer. Is the answer the reduction of the average? Reduction = average × 0.025.
  4. You round up the answer. Is the answer the reduction of the average? Reduction = average × 0.025.
  5. Mathematical convention is to round up if its 0.5, 0.05, etc. 2.5% of 8.2 is 0.205. Rounded up is 0.21, giving him an average of 7.99. However, it does matter how its calculated. You can remove 2.5% off 8.2 by multiplying it by 0.975, which would give you 7.995. Is the average the figure to be rounded or the reduction?
  6. Which is what? Don't suggest there is a reason and not tell everyone
  7. Or maybe Harris can't ride northside and got beat by the better rider on the day? Since we returned, I dont think Harris has had a good performance at Northside. He done okay when he guested for us but that's about it
  8. Just also like to add that there's still a chance Hook returns, unless he's signed elsewhere. The longer the signing drought goes on, the more plausible it is that we havent signed our full team yet.
  9. I also find it baffling but zischke has been amongst the main body of the team for 2 seasons. Hook excelled at reserve and beat some good riders over the course of the season. However, when he guested in the main body of other teams, he was poor. Thats not to say Hook wouldn't have been good in the main body over time, but I partially understand the hesitation from the promotion. Still believe he deserved a chance after his performances last season. I remember him rounding Chris Harris at Northside.
  10. Talk about being hypercritical. I thought it was only reddit football fans that jumped to conclusions so quick. Tate has been very good in Aus. He finished third and fifth overall in his first two meetings over there, only getting beaten by people youd expect him to. Whereas Hook, who you all seem to be praising, was absolutely awful, getting beat by junior riders. Yesterday he was disappointing but it was due to bike issues and today hasn't been much better. I expect he'll push on as the championship progresses but we'll see. Zischke will most certainly be a better rider this season with less travelling and better equipment. Edit: dont think im slating Hook here, because im not. Hook was phenomenal last season and if it were up to me, he would have been first name on the list. Yes there are doubts around whether he can perform in the main body of the team, but he earned a chance by his performances last season.
  11. Zischke has been great so far in Aus other than today. He had bike issues first 3 heats and then after that scored 2, 2 on his second bike
  12. Tate had a bad day with bike issues but had otherwise been very good in Aus. Worry about your own Aussie who was doing awful and resorted to faking an injury to save himself embarrassment
  13. Im not worried, just bored of waiting now. Every team bar us and Scunny have most if not all of their team
  14. Another good performance put in by our boy Tate. Hoping this season he pushes on
  15. I cant comment on this. Seen it live but they didnt show a replay. Just looked like an unfortunate racing collision. Tate was going on the outside of him and they unfortunately got tangled up
  16. I could be wrong but im not so sure about the broken collarbone. I watched it and after the collision he was on camera in the pits undressing himself, taking his protective vest off, etc. I dont think youd be in any position to do that with a broken collarbone. Could be wrong though.
  17. Very good performance by our Tate in the Phil Crump Comp finishing 4th behind Lidsey, Becker and Tungate. Some very good riding throughout and was involved in an unfortunate collision with Bowes, leading to Bowes exclusion.
  18. Shame it was the only news. They must be struggling with the rider situation or we would have had announcements by now.
  19. I'd also be surprised with the Cookie signing, especially with how it ended last time. I wouldn't be against it though as he is a good rider and with Jeppesen and Batch, it makes a decent set of heat leaders. Add to that Zischke and we have a decent 4 out of 5. I wouldn't like Max Perry as I feel like he's another Sam Mcgurk. He won't score many at reserve and probably won't get out the 2 points.
  20. If cookie has signed on 7.99, then this so called Danish rider you quoted as being on "7.8", would never have fit.
  21. I have to disagree. He was awful last season
  22. I personally think he's one of the most inexperienced no.1s in the league and may be one of the worst next season.
  23. Agreed. Im bored of waiting now. Im going to purchase a season ticket regardless of the last signings but im still waiting for them to be announced before I do.
