Have we got a forum full of kids in here or something? Embarrassing reading all this. Wouldn't think you are all grown adults

Everything wrong in English speedway in a nutshell. How can Simon Lambert be in a development league, taking a team spot off other young riders? Im pretty sure there will be some young riders, who would massively benefit from track time, over Lambert. "King's Lynn Young Stars featuring 37 year old Simon Lambert"

Mr Scunthorpe has posted saying hes signed some contracts. Wonder what they are? 1. Scunthorpe. 2. ??

Championship Predictions 2026
Woke23 replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A lot of predictions are putting Worky out of the top 4 in here. I personally think we have a very strong team. We have three potential heat leaders, with tate and the young Dane to back them up, making it a good top 5. Vinnie should push on this season, with with only true weakness being our number 7. I think we'll surprise many -
Was this a case of natrual depreciation or a reassessed average?
-
I do have sympathy for Max Perry. Missing out on a team place by 0.02 pts is unfortunate. I still think they should bring rising star positions in to the championship. I also think they need to reconsider how they do it, because young riders shouldn't be missing out on team places because of 0.02 pts. Maybe force teams to declare their rising star first, making them build their team with that average deducted. Im throwing ideas around here, but maybe keep rising stars averages at 2 pts until they break 3/3.5 pts. In that case, young riders who are good, but not quite ready, such as Max Perry, would still get team positions.

Thought this had changed now? Previous seasons it would stay at the assessed unless improved but i thought it had changed last season. Could be wrong though.

No idea where the Jack Shimelt rumours have came from, and I really hope there's no truth to it. You could go pick 10+ NDL riders from last season who would be 110% better than Jack at this stage in his career. No idea who it'll be, but hopefully they surprise us like the previous signing.

Someone is going to have to make me familiar with his game. Looks decent on Instagram

Reserve rider announced - Chris Peacock.

Me and my brother actually discussed this not so long back. Im pretty sure its low 4s

A lot? I think you're overestimating the moral of some Workington people. A lot of people who attend won't know what this said rider has done, and who he is. I, personally, will still attend if he does sign. Yes, hes done some bad things, but it won't stop me attending fixtures. I reckon you'll get less than 20 people who would stop going because it

Shame really. Absolutely superb around Northside but his away form has probably left him without a team. I thought he'd be at Scunny for sure. Strange how he worded his statement though - "change of plan". Wonder if a team, such as scunny, has had a change of heart

Its going to be a a rider around 2 pts. Would you rather have Max Perry or a Kyle Bickley?
-
I think Bickley is worth the risk on such a low average. He's 23 years old, would be coming in to a league that is considerably weaker than years gone by, and he'd be able to compete at reserve level.
-
He finished 2023 with 2.62 and didnt ride in 2024 or 2025. Now, I'm presuming he'll get his 2.5% reduction for 2024, plus the two lots of 8% for not riding in 2024 and 2025. That would put him at 2.16. If he didnt get the 2.5%, it would be 2.22

One of the most awkward interviews ive ever seen. Some good talking points though. Andrew mentioned he may be looking further afield (outside UK). He also claimed that Ashton Boughen is wanting to make a return to speedway.
-
What was this interview on?
-
I'd rather it the other way around. Cookie at home was very good two seasons ago. Batch is so much better away than he is at home
-
7.99

Hopefully he wants to make up for his last stint at Northside. I know he's been smashing the gym a lot, so maybe a fit, motivated Cookie will arrive come the start of the season.

Signing #5 is Lambert. Jk...I hope
