Im travelling across to Berwick again for this one. Hoping for a safer meeting than last time! Expecting it to be a close contest across both legs. Cookie and Jeppesen should do well, but Berwick have Morris and Kildemand who should keep it close. Dayle Wood as a guest is interesting, but Berwicks young Aussie is looking to be a great find so I cant call which way that will go. Its a first visit to Berwick for Jakobsen who looks to be a decent signing despite what his scores may suggest so far. Berwick is a difficult track for some so im expecting him to take a couple of heats to get going.

Looks like Oxford are now considerably weaker. Who do they go for to replace Erik?

What would connor coles come in on? Can gate somewhat well which would get him a couple of pts at northside early on

Transponders arent always reliable. Ive seen it many times where a the video footage contradicts the transponder. In fact, I believe it happened at Berwick last season between Troy and Hagon. -
I dont see who's average will drop to allow the shuffle though. Jamie will remain at 2 pts, but everyone else looks likely to increase theirs.

Ill never slate a young lad, but hes been thrown in the deep end and is struggling. Sam Mcgurk was a gamble, but I understood why they gambled. He was a good rider at NDL level, especially around workington. He was also, alot of the time, on the pace with others at home, he just couldn't gate. Jamie is, unfortunately, a couple of years off this level. He can't gate, and he gets further and further behind as the race progresses. He could maybe fix it but he'd have to be up at northside practicing at every opportunity, which I dont think he can due to where he lives.

Very good win and some cracking racing. After 3 heats, I was expecting a battering. Then the track changed quickly, and it caught our riders out but not the Scorpions. Heat 15 was the best heat for me. Jeppesen gated, and rode a very good four laps to hold off pickering. Great bike control by Jeppesen to stay on the bike when he lifted exiting bend 4 on the 2nd, maybe 3rd lap Overall, pleased with the riding, a good, entertaining meeting, with the only downside being the dust. The evening start times will sort that out though. -

I think the promotion will be very happy if thats your only gripe. I personally didn't think the green looked bad. Last year it was patchy and dry in areas, so letting it grow out before mowing is probably a good idea. -
Sonny Springer is returning to speedway. I think its too early for Jamie, and likewise Sonny, but I feel Sonny will grow as the season progresses whereas I cannot see Jamie doing that.

Sam hagon at reserve isn't a bad shout. I also agree that Loftus wouldn't be awful. He surprised me last season

Very good performance by our lads. Too many mistakes cost us. Some self inflicted, some inflicted by the piss poor track. That first bend was atrocious. The guy on the tractor looked like he didnt have a clue. UTC! -

Was amazed how many times he fell off at Armadale. Was quite funny in the end -

Once youve paid for your ticket, you can get your programme from the hut as soon as you walk in to the stadium. Ive been Redcar several times over past two seasons with Comets and we've always stood on the second standing platform you come to between the clubhouse and grand stand. -
Haven't seen him on a speedway bike but I know a few days ago he posted a picture of his bike and he captioned it "ready for testing"

Workington comets fans will disagree. He's been good for us barring the odd performance. Last time he rode in the prem, as a guest, he done well too. He'll be fine, especially in the position hes riding.

Not a fan of the "team wear" merch. Other stuff seems decent. Bit expensive but expected.

Floodlights are going in within the 6 weeks. Dont worry

Clashes with football (local and national), and working commitments.

Lights are being installed. Unsure if they already have, but I know it was planned.

Have we got a forum full of kids in here or something? Embarrassing reading all this. Wouldn't think you are all grown adults

Everything wrong in English speedway in a nutshell. How can Simon Lambert be in a development league, taking a team spot off other young riders? Im pretty sure there will be some young riders, who would massively benefit from track time, over Lambert. "King's Lynn Young Stars featuring 37 year old Simon Lambert"

Mr Scunthorpe has posted saying hes signed some contracts. Wonder what they are? 1. Scunthorpe. 2. ??

Championship Predictions 2026
Woke23 replied to Paddy The Rebel's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A lot of predictions are putting Worky out of the top 4 in here. I personally think we have a very strong team. We have three potential heat leaders, with tate and the young Dane to back them up, making it a good top 5. Vinnie should push on this season, with with only true weakness being our number 7. I think we'll surprise many -
Was this a case of natrual depreciation or a reassessed average?
