  1. I dont see how we'll struggle? Good team and Ingram is a good guest for us. He flew around our spot other week
  2. Fair play to him? What a clown you are mate. No wonder the sports dying when its ran like this
  3. Well, that was an expected signing. This is the season he really needs to push on. Hes had two seasons at championship level and has only increased his average slightly. I liked him in the NDL in 2023 and thought he had a promising career, but seems to have stagnated a bit. He did seem to take a liking northside and performed well last season in the U21 final. One things for sure, he'll keep on pace with the other reserves and hopefully he can progress as the season goes on.
  4. Beef would suggest I have had an issue with him for a while. I havent. I have had an issue with how he acted on Saturday. Crash happened, ref made a decision, Greg cries over mic saying its worst decision he's ever seen. He runs up to ref box, stays in there for a while (just asking what's happening though), and then returns to centre green stating "yous wont be happy folks, looks like the ref is sticking with his decision". A minute later, decision is changed. Awfully Unprofessional and needs to hide his bias when doing what hes doing. Also, no consideration for the injured riders when, straight after the incident, he asks the referee what's the scores. Prat.
  5. Also just seen the Workington promotion have put a complaint in to SCB. Correct thing to do to hopefully stop it happening again.
  6. This just makes him sound like a bigger prat tbh. "Comfortable having a dig at me without hiding behind a username" is somewhat threatening. Big man Greg never fails to surprise me. Also, he most certainly did affect the decision with him shouting over the mic that its the worst decision hes ever seen in speedway, riling the fans up.
  7. Its rather poor by the promotion to get Etherington in from the start. You've thrown a young lad, who hasnt been riding for that long, in to the deep end when its clear he's no where near the level required yet. As a result, you've probably affected his confidence and embarrassed the poor lad. I hope he bounces back and gets back in the champ in the coming years. If jakobsens injury is as bad as feared, it'll be a double change for comets. Do they go with a 4 and a 3? Or stick with a 5 and get Max Perry in? I'd like to see Sonny Springer/Senna summers get a shot in champ at some point in the future.
  8. Track was well prepared but as always, the sun won with regards the dust. Does dust make it a bad track? Absolutely not. Some superb racing today and we seen more passing in the first heat than we did in the whole of the meeting yesterday. Cluff surprised me. The guy can ride a bike but clearly doesn't like the more technical tracks like plymouth and Edinburgh.
  9. Shocking choices? Please explain? I, by my card, have 3,0,3,3 for the replacement riders for cookie. Looks good to me.
  10. Cookie stuck to his racing line, enters the bend first, and battye tries to round him, laying his bike down in the process. Whole spot is a rubbish show. Greg is as unprofessional as they come and shouldn't be any where near a microphone the clown. But hey, s**t happens, on to the next one.
  11. Im travelling across to Berwick again for this one. Hoping for a safer meeting than last time! Expecting it to be a close contest across both legs. Cookie and Jeppesen should do well, but Berwick have Morris and Kildemand who should keep it close. Dayle Wood as a guest is interesting, but Berwicks young Aussie is looking to be a great find so I cant call which way that will go. Its a first visit to Berwick for Jakobsen who looks to be a decent signing despite what his scores may suggest so far. Berwick is a difficult track for some so im expecting him to take a couple of heats to get going.
  12. Looks like Oxford are now considerably weaker. Who do they go for to replace Erik?
  13. What would connor coles come in on? Can gate somewhat well which would get him a couple of pts at northside early on
  14. Transponders arent always reliable. Ive seen it many times where a the video footage contradicts the transponder. In fact, I believe it happened at Berwick last season between Troy and Hagon.
  15. I dont see who's average will drop to allow the shuffle though. Jamie will remain at 2 pts, but everyone else looks likely to increase theirs.
  16. Ill never slate a young lad, but hes been thrown in the deep end and is struggling. Sam Mcgurk was a gamble, but I understood why they gambled. He was a good rider at NDL level, especially around workington. He was also, alot of the time, on the pace with others at home, he just couldn't gate. Jamie is, unfortunately, a couple of years off this level. He can't gate, and he gets further and further behind as the race progresses. He could maybe fix it but he'd have to be up at northside practicing at every opportunity, which I dont think he can due to where he lives.
  17. Very good win and some cracking racing. After 3 heats, I was expecting a battering. Then the track changed quickly, and it caught our riders out but not the Scorpions. Heat 15 was the best heat for me. Jeppesen gated, and rode a very good four laps to hold off pickering. Great bike control by Jeppesen to stay on the bike when he lifted exiting bend 4 on the 2nd, maybe 3rd lap Overall, pleased with the riding, a good, entertaining meeting, with the only downside being the dust. The evening start times will sort that out though.
  18. I think the promotion will be very happy if thats your only gripe. I personally didn't think the green looked bad. Last year it was patchy and dry in areas, so letting it grow out before mowing is probably a good idea.
  19. Sonny Springer is returning to speedway. I think its too early for Jamie, and likewise Sonny, but I feel Sonny will grow as the season progresses whereas I cannot see Jamie doing that.
  20. Sam hagon at reserve isn't a bad shout. I also agree that Loftus wouldn't be awful. He surprised me last season
  21. Very good performance by our lads. Too many mistakes cost us. Some self inflicted, some inflicted by the piss poor track. That first bend was atrocious. The guy on the tractor looked like he didnt have a clue. UTC!
  22. Was amazed how many times he fell off at Armadale. Was quite funny in the end
  23. Once youve paid for your ticket, you can get your programme from the hut as soon as you walk in to the stadium. Ive been Redcar several times over past two seasons with Comets and we've always stood on the second standing platform you come to between the clubhouse and grand stand.
  24. Haven't seen him on a speedway bike but I know a few days ago he posted a picture of his bike and he captioned it "ready for testing"
