Ipswich vs Leicester play off Semi-final 9th Sept
Rickyag replied to ShanoXtra's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Watching the meeting with no team allegiance some of the decisions were certainly questionable? As an ex-football referee and match assessor I am amazed that speedway referees are not assessed at meetings by ex-referees. If this was implemented it would help the current referees to enhance their performance and eliminate supporters questioning decisions like last night by supporters throughout the UK. Some riders did not help the referee by their actions last night either but an assessor would observe for the future. Sorry just my thoughts. -
Sheffield vs Ipswich 2024 Cup Final Sept 2nd

As a neutral (ex-Panthers) got to feel sympathy for Ipswich club and supporters. Season started so well then for every rider to be injured throughout the season. Went over to watch the Oxford meeting and Ipswich fans were still showing support 👍. Good luck for the remainder of the season and keep your heads held high 🤞 -
Not sure about the age, at Peterborough we had Tom Bacon who I believe was older but I could be wrong.

King’s Lynn vs Leicester - Monday 02/09/24

While Chapman and Allitt are still involved at KL they will never run correctly. Only 2 good races tonight, the rest was gate and go. Feel sorry for the fans but while they keep going Chapman will keep treating them with contempt. -

Any young rider needs to be advised to stay away from Chapman and Allitt. BV, Ipswich or Sheffield would be the clubs to be looking at for there best future in the sport. -

We are the same, drive through Boston & KL to Ipswich, can honestly say we will never go to KL while Chapman and Allitt are there. -

I believe it is a shoulder injury. -
No lol, but I think he is the best manager in speedway 👍

Basso was not always happy last season especially with the cheap material Buster kept putting down at Peterborough. Rob was often haven to put his arm around Basso`s shoulder.

I personally hope that fingers crossed for you supporters Chapman does sell to guarantee speedway for 2025 for KL. With a proper owner I do not think you would have had all the issues this season, I suppose we all remember the likes of the Littlechild's and Crane to know it can be good. -

I think its more like Chapman and Allitt trying to cheat the way in to the play offs picking and choosing when they can be bothered to run meetings, it will be an absolute travesty if KL get in the play offs. -
Is he not at Scunthorpe?

I was told last night that the meeting was not taking place however, this was only from someone who volunteers on race day so it could just be a load of bull**** and not true. -

BBC showing light rain on Thursday so that's enough for him to call it off. Will be interesting if KL do not get all there fixtures completed by the end of August, will the BSPA / SCB postpone play off`s until KL complete there league fixtures? -
Very sad to hear the passing of Anne, lovely lady.

Disappointed with Tobi, always had him down as a nice bloke and enjoyed watching him at Peterborough but after his article in the SS I presumed he was going back to KL imminently not back track. Not bothered about Chapman and Allitt but do feel for the fans. -

Well, I can defiantly say we have not. Gone through KL to Ipswich but whilst Allitt & Chapman are involved we will not go. -

Not sure if I saw something on social media about Alex Brady was looking there for speedway but got turned down by the BSPA as it is too close to KL. May be someone could confirm? -

No disrespect to other track announcers but Edwin was really the best, missed his voice in 2023. RIP Edwin. -

What got to the Panthers fans was his speech about not supporting a protest or fight AEPG, hence he got jeered by the crowd on the night. -

I always thought Tobi is an honest rider, so if he said he is going back to KL I wouldn't believe the rumours.
