You've just got to squeeze these fixtures in where you can these days, I suppose. -
It's clearly been declining for a while but it's still mad that the likes of Simon Lambert and Kyle Newman are within the top 24 British riders (no offence to either). Also disappointing that Lambert has seemingly not bothered, I thought he'd at least attempt to retain his title. Let's be honest, he'd probably win riding backwards if Bewley doesn't turn up. I assume the wild cards are there to try and tempt Lambert/Woffinden over late in the day? Still, on the plus side it'll probably be a very tight meeting.

Have you not just proved their point to some extent? If clubs are spending beyond their means to sign better riders, and presumably winning sides, but still not making a profit, then maybe not as many people are "entertained" by success as you think. Ultimately, 2 or maybe 3 teams will get any success in a given season, from 15(?) clubs. If success is what keeps people coming back then the majority will struggle. I'm not actually even sure great racing (or lack of it) is the real issue. I'm sure most people would rather have it than not, but for me it's the lack of competitiveness or meaning to most matches. When you look at Ekstraliga 2 in Poland, they're all aiming and building for promotion, to get more fans/tickets sold/TV money, etc. It means something. It's like the Championship in football. Where is anything like that in British speedway? It doesn't really matter if you finish top or bottom of the Championship, nobody will remember in 3 months anyway, you can just start again next season.

Agreed. I wonder if they could squeeze Brady Kurtz in instead? Maybe Zmarzlik would do a fortnight? -
Luke Becker Kim Nilsson Rohan Tungate Keynan Rew Dominik Kubera Robert Lambert Jaimon Lidsey Andzejs Lebedevs Kacper Woryna Michael Jepsen Jensen ?Jack Holder ?Maciej Janowski ?Kai Huckenbeck ?Piotr Pawlicki ?Frederik Jakobsen Let's see how tonight goes. I don't think there's going to be (m)any surprise GP riders next season at this rate. Probably 4 from Holder, Lambert, Woryna, MJJ, Lebedevs and Kubera.

You don't get a chance to score an extra point, you get the extra point if you've scored higher than the same finisher in the other LCQ scored in the heats. LCQ1 - 3rd, 6th, 8th, 9th LCQ2 - 4th, 5th, 7th, 10th. I see the argument that if you've finished 3rd on points, and are in LCQ 1, then you'll get more points for finishing 2nd than whoever finishes 2nd in LCQ 2 does. That's just the advantage of scoring the 3rd highest points score though. If the 5th placed rider from LCQ2 finished in the same position as the 6th placed rider did in LCQ 1, they'd get more points because of their score in the heats.

I'm not sure he could, the aim is just to score as many points as possible in the heats to give yourself the best chance. It's not as if there is any advantage to choosing to finish 2nd (as opposed to winning) in the LCQ either, if he had scored the most points, as he'd miss out on the final. Mind, don't take any of this as gospel, my days of keeping track of speedway rules are mostly in the past!
