One reason why there should be a total overall point limit and the GB U21 comes in on either a 3.00 or a 2.00 based on their ability/potential etc. So anyone missing out on the better of the U21s gets an extra point to build stronger elsewhere Foreign U21 should be the same either a 5.00 or a 4.00
-
1. Bewley 2. Ellis / Thompson / Masters 3. Janowski 4. Brennan 5. Woryna 6. U21 7. Rushen

100% should be U24 for the reserve slots I know not many would agree but I think the national development league should stop, where those few individual clubs go i don't know the answer but there are riders in the development league that are not the future of the sport I'd like to see a youth programme made up primarily of an individual series, riders can attach themselves to a "parent" club as an entry title and perhaps that parent club can offer rider-coaching and these young riders race for themselves, they dont in my opinion need to be in a team environment You could have an Elite 500 class even if its 12-16 riders who are the group most likely to progress quicker You could have a national class for those just moving onto 500s You can have a mixed class of 250/500 3 or 4 different championships, all run at weekends on various tracks that offer availability and make it a good day out for spectators with plenty of speedway for both rider and spectator Riders could even enter more than one event or wild card where applicable

As with every year, most of it has been decided with contingency plans in place depending if TV deal A or B happens or if C no TV deal
-
There are rumours that move may not happen, with the news released stating leagues are looking at the U21 reserve suggestion, other leagues are trying to use it to relax the restriction, we will see
-
🫣 is it not better than what you have now lol
-
If its true that they are looking to increase the points limit All clubs must run an U21 British Rider at reserve All clubs must also run a Foreign U21 Rider at reserve If they can get the ITV4 deal over the line which sounds like the more lucrative deal being worked on Perhaps that's enough for the likes of Glasgow to give the top flight a chance, and I think if the TV deal goes through, you may see Oxford move up again but obviously not do the Championship aswell this time around. Could see the following strength sides, put together for example purposes
-
Money talks and in order to progress you need that, probably quite rightly speaks highly of Lynn as they've given him an opportunity but Lambert probably once did too Can see him and either Belle Vue or Ipswich
-
Sister club and company mean two different things. He's talking in his capacity as promoter of the grand prix, Mayfield events promotes that The sister company to Mayfield events owned by him owns Ipswich The sister club is Wroclaw who still only own 30%
-
He said Sister company, he doesn't Own Wroclaw so they are not a sister company Mayfield have different parts to their own company, one part owns Ipswich where Wroclaw have invested in that business not Mayfield overall
-
They are trying to push for 2x Reserves as U21 when realistically U24 would be better So let's say its 40.00 with the no.7 "British" option being classed as an RS 1. Max Fricke 2. Anders Rowe 3. Jan Kvech 4. Richard Lawson 5. Nazar Parnitskyi 6. Villads Nagel 7. Jody Scott GB U21 I think financially Lynn will struggle to keep Rushen
-
So if they manage to get the Premiership to 8 clubs with say an ITV4 deal... If clubs are adopting 2 x U21 berths Beau Bailey, Mitch Mcdairmid, Villads Nagel, Even Cerjak, Janek Konzack, a few poles maybe 1 or 2 from Sweden and Denmark... Top 8 U21 brits for next season based on age by May 2027 Cairns, Rushen, Scott, Harrison, Pijper, Ford, Perry, Ingram Part of me would think making it U24 would open up some better opportunities and make the championship do 2 British or Commonwealth rising stars as per the current system Would imagine 34 points limit plus 2 x U21 riders for the top division
-
1. Dan Bewley 2. Cooper Rushen 3. Tom Brennan 4. Adam Ellis 5. Kacepr Woryna 6. Marcel Kowolik 7. Will Cairns Or 1. Robert Lambert 2. Cooper Rushen 3. Kacper Woryna 4. Patryk Wojdylo 5. Tobiasz Musielek 6. Will Cairns 7. Jody Scott

2027 terrestrial tv maybe?
CTRSports replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
If they manage to bag an ITV4 slot then I hope they can put together a 6 or 7 Round British Championship where riders can potentially gain some bigger sponsorships and have these as the live meetings alongside the play off semi and finals A weekly or fortnightly highlights show would be good covering best action from PL and CL would be a good addition League racing wont work for live TV not speedway anyhow -
Premiership 2027 - Are You Interested??

Been thinking about the format and how could the powers that be offer a bit extra value for money and/or entertainment. So an idea sprung to mind for the top flight, how about introducing a "Premier league Shootout Series" End of the meeting, the top 4 scorers from both teams race against each other But a 1 lap shootout, one rider selected from each side, so basically 4 Heats of a Sprint. The home team selects the rider they are putting up and then the away team pairs them up with who they select. Has no baring on the overall meeting score but heats are scored 1-0, the shootout series has a separate league table End of season, top 4 qualify for an old style 4TT hosted by the club finishing top of the shootout series I.e. a potential big money generating meeting 1 lap sprints also doesn't put a great deal of cost on the rider. -

The cynical side of me is wondering how many free tickets are potentially given out to boost crowd numbers at Noethampton but would be foolish if they need to show the books to a potential buyer If Tai was part of a consortium I would imagine his financial outlay would be minimal at best but with his contacts and profile perhaps he could be a good shot in the arm on the promotion front Possibly, if Sheffield sell up or work on a reduced budget then remove Lambert and Pickering with Both Holders as they'll end up somewhere together
-
Wouldn't surprise me if a consortium came forward and possibly including Tai as its a great opportunity for him to go into part club ownership and would be able to attract some riders. I reckon you could see something like 1. Lambert 2. Rowe 3. Pickering 4. Thomson 5. Doyle 6. McDiarmid 7. Harrison Depending on final averages
-
Think the main issue with Lawson yesterday was the timing of letting ipswich know Despite his post saying they tried, at least give ipswich a heads up maybe that morning "Hey boss, my wife isn't well, we're trying to arrange help but if we can't i will have to miss tonight and look after my child" Not just phone a few hours before the meeting and drop it
-
1. Anyone know who the 3 changes would be? 2. Far too easy to say replace Lawson with Ellis AFTER he's bagged 20 points from 21, bit like saying i would have chosen those winning euro million numbers, after you'd seen the draw
-
In the local area so may attend, I think Northampton will win tomorrow. I can see a half bothered Lawson returning similar numbers to Brennan and think with the switches the Foxes have made they will come away 46-44 But only if Klindt turns up lol

Ipswich vs Leicester KOC Final 1st leg Monday 27th July

Can you change your username to OTT please unless TTT was a mistake to start off with. Again, your expectation for this season is extremely high and unrealistic, I bet on paper you wouldn't have thought you'd get to a league cup final but now they are there (and they've not lost it yet) you bring out the doom and gloom. I think with the support Ipswich get even if 2 years time if you dropped into the championship you'd get good crowds Like others have said, this is one season everyone knew would be a struggle even supporters of other clubs, you seem to be the only one that is comparing previous seasons
