  1. I've known Jason Crump since he was about 8 years old and he has ALWAYS been a brat!!! He He used to expcet everyone to 'respect' him because of who he was. His Dad was a differrent guy altogther - quiet, calm and pleasant. The trouble is that although Jason and Phil are very different they have one vital thing in common - Phil could never hack it in world championships event - and Jason is going to have to work on his temprement if he's not going to follow in that bit of Phil's footsteps!!! Really chap, get into the 21st century will ya?! I don't like to hear swearing but neither does my husband - the point is that my ears are no more 'delicate' than a man's and I'm not going swoon because someone said the 'f' word!!! :x
  2. AJ had the choice of turning up - he chose not to. See ICQ Am I the only one who could see the ridiculous situation where riders with legs in plaster trun up to ride just so they get their points and we end up with races with two riders. Addict I think you need to see the bigger picture - no-one is doubting that Mark wanted to ride and was refused but the problem is that a precedent has now been set. As stevehone said, what happens if those points Mark was awarded decide whose in the GP's next year and who isn't?! I'm sure if Jonsson had KNOWN that Loram was going to be awarded points, he would have turned up to ride as well! :?
  3. I have to say that as a meeting I thought it was pretty poor up until the last few races - most of the 'excitement' came through the mistakes caused by the dodgy track - I think it was one of the semis where the first three did a synchronised 'lift' going down the back straight!!! I DID enjoy the meeting but I've definatly seen better! It also blew out of the water the myth that temporary tracks are bad and permenant tracks are good - Slaski has been around for donkey's years and it still looked pretty awful! I HAVE to agree with Steve Shov though (everyone's allowed to agree with him once you know! ) that Tony is the 'great' of this generation and he WILL beat Mauger's record possibly by two or three titles. The way he's riding at the moment I can see him dominating the GP's for years to come. As Steve said, I for one feel priviledged to be seeing him at his peak - my parents were great Briggo fans and I grew up hearing how wonderful he was...my little girl will get sick of hearing how good Tony was, and how speedway was better in the old days, and how laid down engines ruined the sport etc etc - sorry I went off at a tangent there for a mo!!! I think I'd better go and lie down.......
