Anything has to be better than those 'i had a dweem' ones. I have to leave the room when they're on, they make me cringe so much. Edited to add - those Danish ones are brilliant.

That's one way to describe SCB. -
Any chance of you showing off your new found language skills and pointing us in the direction of the Lars-Daniel bits...it's all Norwegian on there to me.

I thought Ht 20 was a good one (said 19 earlier, shows how much attention I was paying ) - Dryml was second, kept trying to make inroads and then ended up going backwards...so far back he ended up last. It wasn't technically brilliant and more down to the fact that anyone trying anything got penalised. But it's about as good as I thought it got last night. -

Thought it was a pretty boring GP to be honest. After hearing the likes of Sube singing the praises of all that's Polish on here, I was expecting passing in almost every heat. All we seemed to see was a track where those trying an outside line went backwards, and any passes when they did arise coming from mistakes when a rider drifted off the racing line. Very disappointing. Heat 19 was about the most entertaining race of the lot, by which time I'd reverted to reading a book for the most part. Couldn't call the Crump/Pedersen incident - JC did make contact with Nicki so on that alone was likely to go. Nicki did seem to cut across and then bale out pretty easily. 50/50 call and either rider would have had reason to feel a bit aggrieved. Let's hope the next one is more exciting. -

That's a rather under-handed approach but nothing surprises me about business these days. Wonder what the deal is, if the rooms have been paid for in advance? surely they can't hit you with an additional increase if you've already paid for them. Would be interested to know what Trading Standards might think if that was the case. -
You mean this one, Oddy?

Looking forward to this one - should be a cracker. I'm going for Glob to win but reckon Mr Clean has to be joint favourite tonight. KK could be a dark horse but I'll be cheering on the new and hopefully improved Lukas. So good to see him back on the world stage. -
Good to see Armando hasn't lost the knack. What happened in the final?

Aha - many thanks! Makes life a bit easier!

Iris - did this meeting go ahead? If so, any idea where I can find the result - particularly how Adam did? Thanks in hope.

No idea for what you look for in a meeting. I take no notice of gates to be honest, but thought the racing in the first few heats before the rain was bloody fantastic. Even at the end, when it was drying out it was getting back to normal with some switching around. Think some fans need to leave the programmes behind and just watch what's on track and enjoy it a bit more. Stats and facts can destroy it if you let it! Oi you, watch it - I'll be having words! -

From his comments on the Poole site it'd appear he had bike problems as much as anything - he said he switched to a second machine after his 2nd race and it felt a lot better. He then ended up on gate four just after the rain so it totally screwed up any chance from them on although he did redeem himself with a second in his last heat. I've no doubt he'll improve, can't see why everyone's being so miserable about the bloke to be honest or what he does to deserve the derision he seems to get. He's a seasoned performer who's there on merit unlike some others who've just got the wildcard nominations, and he wasn't that much worse than some others there last night ranked a lot higher. Perhaps he needs to rant a rave a lot more for people to think he's making the effort I sincerely hope he does finish top eight this year, if only for the satisfaction of p'ing Col and Sube off. -

Some of us still had faith in the old boy! Great to see Glob doing so well too; in fact other than a stinker for Barney, it was a great GP results wise. -
I'll agree with that. really pleased for the guy, and hope he can build on it for the rest of the season. loved his attitude when interviewd too. As for Bjarne, a bad night but then he'll have some decent ones too. He'll never be a world champion but always one of the guys on the fringes - lacks the killer instinct of an Andersen, Crump or Pedersen. Still, long as he scores well for Poole, I'm not too bothered what he does elsewhere to be honest.

Thanks Iris - sorry for not replying before - totally missed seeing you'd replied. I blame old age

Thanks Liverstam, you're a star! Knew I'd seen somewhere that Anton won it but just needed to be sure!

Can anyone help me with the results from the Kenny Olsson Memorial last night? I must be looking in the wrong place cos I can't find a thing...

Aah, anyone buying the Poole programme last week, would have found that out already. Courtesy of Mr Watt again. -
Iris - what's the deal about the U19 and U21 riders and points? How do they add into the team totals - I'm assuming they have to do with the +nn against the teams scores?

You two in cahoots or summat? Nah I'm off ghost-hunting in Cornwall the week before so definitely no Cardiff this year. -

Nothing could beat Cardiff last year on so many levels, so not going this year and be disappointed. Will watch on TV with some beers and a curry, and just hope that it's even half as good an event as 2007. -
You know, I saw that, but for some reason it didn't register. Dumbass of the day award goes to... Thanks Jacqueline too.
