I played the 'Tony Millard disappoints' game last night, - it was originally going to be a drinking game based on how many times Millard says disappointed, disappointing and disappointment but seeing he said it over 20 times before I got bored tallying after heat 16 perhaps best not. I'd have been trollied after heat 8. And Agree the Cat, when he called Kelvin Colin - quality moment and not even a flicker from Millard when Kelvin quickly and very smoothly corrected him.

Poor? There was plenty of passing all the way through. I must have different criteria for entertainment in meetings I watch as I loved the 'ding-dong' battles of pass and re-pass in numerous heats last night.

Exactly! So it's not just a British thing. And Middo was also paying for his own flights, accomodation etc also in previous years. If he gets sponsorship to cover the costs then can't see the problem whether it's named as from Poole or Timbucktoo to be honest. Until the sport pays for the national manager to do their job properly the sponsorship will have to stay. Unless of couse people want the guy to pay to do the job

Pretty shocking meeting overall - a few decent races yes, but how much of the passing was down to mistakes by riders caused by the track. Can't begrudge Nicki his win though - he was head and shoulders above the rest. Best wishes to AJ - that was one hell of an impact but the pain he was in... I don't think I can remember a GP with quite so many of the riders carrying injuries even before the start.

Expect some people still think Neil should pay for his own expenses to and from international duty though D.D. God forbid some local firms help him out through sponsorship.

Afraid my bank account isn't in a fit state now to take up as a promoter, let alone what it would end up like after a season.

Actually I agree now - Middlo quit the job. Stick to being a great manager at Poole and let someone else do the Team GB job. Then when that new manager has exactly the same sorts of results with the same riders wait and see what these people spouting off have to say then
