  1. I would hope if either were interested in riding in the UK Oxford or Birmingham would have picked them up already.
  2. Not if you use Fricke in heat 3. In theory it gets the team.off to a strong start. If Fricke has a stinker in heat 1 you could put Howarth in who'd have already been out once or give Masters an outing prior to his first programmed ride.
  3. If Leicester can continue to use Fricke for one R/R it's better than having Becker back I believe. Though I'd move Howarth to #2 and put R/R at 3, 4 or 5 so Fricke doesn't have to be used in heat 8.
  4. Was it? Looked almost empty along the back straight, whenever I've been to Beaumont Park there have been a fair few people there. Sheffield I'd imagine are the second closest visitors (after Birmingham) but with it being televised and dodgy weather I can understand people staying away.
  5. Musielak heat 7 win was instantly forgettable. He disappeared as Tungate struggled to pass Castagna despite being handed the outside line on turns 3&4. Rew 9+2 is double figures from 5 rides.... 9 is not two digits. That's how many points he scored for the team. 3 points are absolutely assured because Jeppeson is not finishing in front of anyone at PB.
  6. Yep, Edwards showed why that decision was foolish tonight. Was an Ok meeting until the interval track grading when they decided the outside line on bends 3&4 was no longer necessary.... I guess it had mostly been Spires using it to pass Brummies. Janowski was in a different class and was reasonably backed up by all but Thomson. Musielak only won one race, Zagar tailed off after 3 good rides, Rew & Castagna did Ok... About what Id expect from Castagna,Rew should be doing more.
  7. Amazed it's dry at Perry Barr it's been torrential 20 mikes away. If Zack Cook rides as well as he did last Monday I think that will edge it for Oxford. Riss is a big loss he's good at PB. Just hope Brummies are less pathetic than my previous visit. At least I'll not spend the entire night squinting this time.
  8. Rain is biblical in South Staffs currently. How is it nearer Perry Barr?
  9. Birmingham: Tobias Musielak, Paco Castagna, Jonas Jeppesen, Keynan Rew, Matej Zagar, Zaine Kennedy, Sam Hagon Oxford: Maciej Janowski, Zach Cook, Charles Wright, Kye Thomson, Rohan Tungate, Jason Edwards, Luke Killeen
  10. Had I realised this was tonight before now I'd have come but won't get out of work now, Aces to win at a canter again.
  11. Edit. Wrong thread. Should be one that Brummies can win.
  12. In terms of a contest that's the best meeting I've seen at NSS this year. Zach Cook take a bow. Only win from the gate was his defeat of Fricke in heat 5 other than that did it the hard way, including facilitating Lidsey to get past Masters in his third ride. Then curb crawled in heat ,15 giving Fricke no opportunity to move of the inside which allowed Kurtz the freedom of the wife line to eventually overhaul Fricke. For a 16 year old Cairns is a not a small lad, other than the tall Kemp he must have been the heaviest rider on show. Wasn't quick enough to compete with anyone other than Thompson tho evening but didn't disgrace himself. Ref was holding the tapes too long at the start which led to the two tape exclusions. Zishcke showed a little more tonight, but Kemp was the star performer in the reserve berth gating really sharply in his first few rides. Bewley, Kurtz & Lidsey were a little off the boil didn't have answer for Fricke, fortunately for Belle Vue Douglas had a poor night by his usual NSS standards.
  13. Looking forward to seeing Cairns but hope Mulford isn't badly injured.
  14. My last NSS visit until August BHM I suspect as Belle Vue are away the final two Mondays of July. Fricke should give Bewley & Kurtz something to think about. Douglas & Masters (Becker too had he been riding) should be capable of troubling the other Aces. Hopefully Zischke can find some form, Aces certainly need the reserves to do more.
  15. Are Belle Vue np longer putting the post meeting interview from the Peter Craven suite on social media?
  16. How are you going to get 4 riders to represent Cradley? They're all long retired.
  17. Jason Doyle... tut tut Nikki Pedersen would be proud of you.
  18. Already covered, had mechanical issues on third ride... certainly gave Bewley something to chase in heat 4 & kept Kurtz honest for two laps in heat 6. Musielak versus Cook in heat 15 was the best race, other than Bewley & Zagar. Heat 14 was decent too but so predictably one sides... Aces problem is obvious, the reserves will cost them the title this year. Hopefully Leicester will give the Aces more trouble next week.
  19. Just noticed the video screen from the GP is still here.
  20. Good. South issues were around Crewe, well after Stoke.
  21. That's normally the best way but my Sat Nav sent me a completely different way tonight... not a way I've been before I assume to avoid crawling traffic and it did until the last few miles. Longsight was absolutely blocked when I got here but it looked Ok 15 mins ago. One of the 7 Brummies doing the track walk did look like Jack Smith but I couldn't be 100% sure. Zagar, Musielak & Castagna were the only ones I genuinely recognized. Hagon's van was stuck in the same M6 traffic around Stoke that I was earlier. How was M6 south looking? It looked bad earlier.
  22. Yes I heard on the radio, assumed that was why traffic was bad. Seems Ok now near stadium.
  23. Manchester traffic is much worse than usual... tok me 35 minutes to do my ast 2 mile to the stadium.
  24. Anyone from West Midlands about to set out the M6 is bad! And there are big problems on the M60 too, possibly causing issues on M56 just had pitstop in Altrincham so I'll find out how bad soon.
