  1. I'm going to come up for this, despite Brummies being pathetic against Sheffield at Perry Barr on my first visit of the season a few weeks ago and despite being completely certain Aces will get 60+ with relative ease. Hoping Zagar can perform as he did when he was at Belle Vue in 2022 so Kurtz & Bewley have something to worry about. Musielak & Rew should hopefully give the rest of the Aces a race too. Voulas v Zischke.. I'll take Voulas from what I've seen of both!
  2. I was going to come to this but after enduring Brummies v Tigers on Monday night I'm thinking twice about it, that was enough to put anyone off Speedway for a month!
  3. Riding regularly for Ipswich, Bydgoszcz & Västervik is surely enough along with SEC. Unlikely... Torun & Västervik look well set for the end of season play offs.
  4. It was worse than that... it was 80's TV game show theme tunes.
  5. There were more than 2 or 3 Sheffield fans, there were probably 15-20 (maybe a few more) in the second stand on the first bend.... if they made any noise I didn't hear them, the Sheffield fans were louder for the pairs at Leicester a few years ago.
  6. I was going to leave after heat 10... but I bumped into a guy I used to work with. 11, 12 & 13 really were predictable. The fact Musielak won the coin toss but chose gate positions in heat 15 was absurd! Get to heat 15 in contention! I've seen enough of Castagna to know he isn't ever going to be more than a steady reserve in this league. I haven't seen much of Rew but I've seen enough to know he is better than the effort put in tonight. Jeppeson & Hagom looked out of their depth and probably are. The RR was badly utilised, Rew & Zagar both got it immediately after a programmed ride.
  7. Well only one word to describe that, abject. Tigers didn't need to get out of reverse to win easily. Waste of time & petrol. That was enough to put anyone off the sport for life. Minimum effort from the home riders, Musielak aside. A track which offers nothing other than an inside line. And absolutely no atmosphere.

  9. No. No TV match this week. Probably just posting a generic link to the Preview on the https://britishspeedway.co.uk/ I doubt it's factually up to date.
  10. Masters is more consistent than Pickering, Masters is sure to get 6-8. Pickering could struggle and get 3-4 but could also be match winner... he could also struggle in his first two rides then go unbeaten in his last 3 (inc heat 15). Rowe has been impressive score wise this year but Cook is a former Brummie.
  11. Cheers, Belle Vue Supporters Facebook group have largely confirmed that also... so I'll be on my way shortly.
  12. Can someone local give us an idea of the weather, the forecast is dreadful but then the forecast was dreadful for here and it's bright sunshine. I'll have to start making my way there middayish to find a parking spot.
  13. Wow.... that super sucked. Not sure what was the most embarrassing... the overall Tigers points tally, Stead putting Holder in heat 15 rather than Brennan or the lack of interesting heats for TV.
  14. Weather forecast for Manchester looks pretty grim on Thursday! Deluge in the morning and unlikely to stop all day.
  15. Lidsey? Away from NSS you take 2*3 + 2*0 because that's about what you get. Won't be touched if he hits the front, will do nothing if he doesn't.
  16. Mixed emotions really, glad Brummies finally won at PB but didn't want it to be at the expense of Belle Vue. With Kurtz out I didn't really think the Aces would keep it as close as they did. hats off to Cook, Blodorn, Lidsey & Bewley. Reserves awful as usual. Zishcke failed to compete a lap of one of the vanilla ovals in the sport and Mulford cost Blodorn a point riding a stupid line in heat 8. Writing was on the wall when Bewley was put on gate 3 in heat 15, you win the heat first and foremost, go to a superheat if Cook off gate three can't grab 3rd by hook or by crook. Not that it really matters, no chance of Birmingham making the playoffs or Belle Vue not making them. Track slippy wet to dust bowl in the TV commercial break after heat 4.
  17. Norick Blodorn - 3, 0, 3, 1 = 7 Norick Blödorn - 3, 3, 0, 3, 0 = 9 That's from his two visits with the Aces last year, did he make a few guest appearances?
  18. Sedgmen was decent for Brummies at Cowley when I visited 2 years ago, the track was a disaster that night though.
  19. I'm a bit annoyed the Kings Lynn fixture is on TV! I got one of the 5 match tickets, I'll go for the two visits of Belle Vue and 3 others, but I really don't want to watch Brummies get battered by the Tigers or Witches. I thought they had half a chance against the Stars so was thinking of going if I got back from the NSS midday meeting in time.
  20. Decent watch on TV but fell short of the heights of last week! The highlight was Lidsey & Cook going either side of Masters.
  21. Are the other Boll sponsored riders - admittedly I think that only includes Doyle - also wearing green?
  22. Kurtz in green kevlars! He didn't have those in Landshut. I am glad though that not all the riders are predominantly wearing black or dark blue these days. It seemed that way a few seasons ago.
