Did you witness Allen in Aces kevlars? It does seem that way. P'boro are one team that miss the cut, who is the other?

I have only been to Wimbourne Rd twice, when on holiday in Dorest, I'm sure I saw Panthers there one year - Bjerre is the only Panther I remember that day other than those two, I'm sure the got a 5-1 over Chris Holder in his pomp that meeting.

I've never sat at that end, so wasn't sure. -
Didn't Buczkowski start his British career with Reading? Smallmead wasn't exactly a big track.
-
I think you can add Sam Ermolenko to that list.

No Arlington or Purfleet these days. And I'm sure NSS will suit him more than the old Belle Vue track. Only Monmore is likely to vex him.

It's been the worst weather for a long bank holiday weekend that I can remember for a long time in Wolverhampton. Friday, Saturday & particularly Sunday were very wet. I don't recall any rain on Monday but there certainly wasn't any sun either.

Such creative thinking is beyond team managers! Ipswich needed a heat advantage, the only hope of that was putting Doyle off gate 3 (worst position) with Batchelor off gate 1, hope Batchelor made a good start and Doyle could figure out a way past one of the Aces. I don't think there was a great deal between Batchelor & King on the night TBH. Batchelor had popped out the start in front of Zagar once, King hadn't. There were fans on the back straight? The disabled supporters at the NSS have a balcony in the grandstand, behind the seating on the exit of turn 4. They had to share it with TV crews previously but didn't last night. My own thoughts, however many points Barker's bike relinquished Brennan seemed to give as many away early in the meeting. Don't think either team manager managed the R/R situation at all well. Sedgeman must wonder why he agreed to the booking having been replaced by a reserve. Track was better than the Kings Lynn fixture. -

Miserable, damp, cold (for June) weather doesn't induce enthusiasm much either. -

But Belle Vue haven't arranged to have a guest for their #1! -

I'm far from a fan of the racing at my local track - haven't been since the SooperTroopers farewell! But Eurosport cameras at the NSS tomorrow will paint a poor picture of British Speedway regardless of how the racing is with 3 riders missing. -

In that case it was rather foolish to schedule a fixture on the date of a FIM event at which several home riders were likely to be unavailable. Guessing there was a possibility Zagar & Kurtz could also have been involved. Europsort cameras should go to Monmore. -

Using R/R for Fricke is a crazy decision. Stars & Tigers don't have a meeting. NKI, Holder, Ellis maybe even Musilak, Pickering would be better option. With Etheridge returmomg from injury, Brennan could end up taking a ride for the missing #1 -

Wish I'd known before I was strong armed into going to see Maverick instead tonight.

Complin failed to score from 6 rides on Sunday.

Impressive result for Wolves, especially considering how good Tigers were on Thursday. Musielak proving to be signing of the season again. Howarth & Cook need to do more at Monmore, wouldn't expect much from Ellis & Holder
-
I think you are knit picking TBH. I had driven to & from Sheffield - 170 miles and it was late. Cook did deserve his heat 15 outing, whether Stead would have put him in heat 15 if the match result depended upon it will never be known. What I had intended to comment on Cook was... Cook's up & down Owlerton form was always going to be up rather than down when Belle Vue were the opponent's. I was more disappointed with Fricke, Kurtz & Zagar than impressed by Cook.
-
My only real criticism of Brennan is the first corner he chose to ride in heat 14 after making a cracking gate.
-
Firstly congratulations to Sheffield Tigers on a superb team performance, if anyone didn’t rank the Tigers as favorites before tonight, they surely must now and they did so without their top two being particularly impressive - Ellis conceding the only 1-5 of the night & Holder was passed superbly by Fricke in heat 13. After a poor first ride Musielak was easily quickest rider on show, typical gate & gone Pole, because when he didn’t gate in his opening ride he was nowhere, thereafter he was untouchable and I’m convinced he will make a mockery of his 6.2 starting average. Suspect many will regard him as the signing of the season when trophies are dished out. Howarth, Mountain & Nielsen all did more than you’d expect. The only place to start with the Aces performance is Fricke, how can someone who wins the Warsaw GP concede 5-1’s in his opening two rides in this company? At least personal pride saw him improve but 1 heat win is not enough from a number 1. Next up could be the other participant in those Tigers 5-1 which put the Aces 8 points behind, but no that can wait. The enigma that is Brady Kurtz is next for criticism. Just as it looked like the visitors might get back into the meeting following the only 5-1, Zagar comes in as a TS after winning heat replacing Blodorn, partnering Kurtz. After an eternity of leaving his bike idling at the tapes the start-marshall has to point out his chain has come off. One good ride when he lowered the colours of Cook & Holder. I’ve criticized the two Aces Aussies first because as captain & #1 they set a shoddy example, but next up is Brennan, Harsh maybe as he is a rising star but he was as anonymous as Fricke in those two 5-1’s. He made the gate a few times, yet left the other riders the freedom of Owlertons quick wide outside on the first turns. Most notably Howarth in rerun of heat 14, when Brennan decided it would be more useful to clamp Wright to the white line! It is Blodorn’s second visit to Owlerton, but it is widely regarded that Sheffield have the weakest reserve pairing in the league (that's what happens when you sign such a good top 5). 1 point. Most 4 point Brits would have done more The engine room…. I’m pretty sure Zagar gave up after heat 9, Kurtz chain came off, when he’d agreed to a TS off gate 4. Outsmarted Howarth that heat, then succumbed to a similar move when Nielsen passed him a few heats later. Wright is the only BV rider that might be satisfied with his performance. Might, definitely not should

What is going on in Owlerton/Hillsborough tonight, never seen traffic like that on A61 before. Glad the weather brightened up after I past Bolsover, was torrential most of the way from Derby.
-
Think tonight's result depends on Brennan as he'll probably have 7 rides, he's gone reasonably well at Owlerton previously so could be close.

That's the thing about sport - not ever competitor is "on it" every time! Which team has the most "on it" riders this evening will probably win!
