Even with Ellis, unless Pearson is a revelation I can't see Brummies troubling the Pugwashers or Scottish City Slickers, title wise.
-
I'm sure I saw a Bloordorn van driving to the SoN @ NSS last October - was he not the #3 junior German?
-
Welp, I'm guessing mystery rider will be starting the season at #3 looking at the p+p photos.
-
Team shot on Twitter, Etheridge is wearing 2 but there is no Bloodorn.
-
Ellis was 7.66 in 2021 for Scunthorpe. So if Pearson is less than 4.42, yes.
-
According to the thread at the top of this section. Claus Vissing 8.43 for Glasgow in 2019. Leaves 12.08.
-
Well Iversen is certainly an improvement on Barker. in 2021 Pickering was better than Riss. R Worrall is better than Andersen. Not sure on the other two, I've not seen enough of Mountain if I've seen him ever.
-
Yes Sheffield have put together an excellent septet, but do look weak at reserve. Fricke is ahead of Bewley currently so it could be argued that the team is stronger... all depends who the final rider is. You expecting him to be replaced by someone with a higher average than Etheridge then?
-
Vissing is far from inspiring, Ellis would be... but that would leave what? Guessing Morris & Neilsen wouldn't be at reserve?
-
Well that doesn't mean Tungate, as he's Aussie. I really hope it's Lebedevs! Think the BV top 4 including Lebedevs & reserves could probably carry a fairly weak #2 (fifth in averages) except at Owlerton.
-
Surely NKI's average is higher than Kildemand's. NKI was 7.9 from memory, wasn't Kildemand's last British average nearer 6.5? I'm sure he wasn't KL'S announced #1, whereas NKI surely would. Hope it's not the case and Stars start the year with a competitive team, always enjoyed watching NKI but have barely seen him ride even on TV for a while Kildemand was very poor when I saw him in Ekstraliga in 2020.
-
I was going to ask if it was still that annoying Porky chap but clearly it is! Kirkmanshulme Lane greyhound stadium was no better, possibly worse, it was as if you were below the track. The home straight at Owlerton annoys me, but the view from the third/fourth bend is good. Other than those I'd probably agree, although drudging my memory I don't remember Blunsdon or Station Road (that was what Long Eaton's track was called?) being any better.

Spent too long relying on his Monmore Green form. Did he get any Elitserien or Ekstraliga opportunities? If so, any commitment?
-
Agreed, 13.02 left according to an earlier post on this thread so if Lebedevs is 6:00 they do fall under the limit.
-
When did Wilson-Dean last ride? 5.27 for P'boro in 2019. Tungate 6.59 same season, same club.
-
He still thinks David Howe will one day be world champion.

I was a toddler when Penhall graced Dudley Wood, still the biggest hero of my childhood, one of our dogs is named Bruce. Cradley shut when I was at college, but my Dad had stopped going regularly before then so I couldn't go to Stoke the season we rode there. I didn't go to a speedway meeting for a long time after that, started going to Wolves occasionally in 2004, had a season ticket in 2005. Had a season ticket for Birmingham when they re-opened and until the season that was ruined by injuries - Roynon & Legault were a pleasure to watch but R/R & two guests every week put me off. Visited Brandon a few times each season when the Bee's were riding on a Friday night. Didn't go to speedway in the UK for a few years, Peter Karlsson's farewell being the only exception - only Wolves rider I have ever liked (although Becker is growing on me) and a couple of Poole meetings when on holiday in Bournemouth. Did a few GP's & Polish trips. When Brummies stepped back into the second tier went a few times the first season and had a 10 match season ticket the next year. This year I've got an Ace's season ticket, more because I have AL from work to burn, I love the NSS and living near an M6 junction north of West Mids means the travel time isn't too bad.
-
Lets be honest it was a stupid plan A once Bewley had signed for a Elitserien club, he'd have been daft to give up his spot at Wroclaw and Polish authorities were never likely to change their rules.

If he is Lebedevs then I think that unlikely as Latvia are in NATO.
-
He's been my favourite European rider to watch (outside the GP riders) for a few years, has ridden NSS well in SoN. Fingers crossed.
-
Ace's started 2021 with Wright at #5, which I'd consider "2nd heat leader". Sure Bewley surpassed him (& Kurtz) obviously, but Wright was "3rd heat leader" for the final 5 months of last season?
-
I'd be very surprised if any 2022 Ace is not involved in the Peter Craven meeting. So had assumed one of the final two would be NKI or Zagar, the latter being more likely as a former Ace. NKI was track record holder of the NSS during the first season the track opened but has had an awful lot of injuries since then. Lebedevs would be great, always good value entertainment wise. Was decent at SoN. Averaged 3.73 from 4 meetings in 2013 for Kings Lynn. Never been a GP rider, so what would his assessed average be? 6!00?

Maybe if I hadn't spent £400 on season tickets and been subjected to dust bowls every week I would.
