If Swindon can afford Doyle, Poole Kurtz etc etc I see. Which is where the world finals from "Katowice" were held. Is that the only remaining venue left that hosted a World final that still has a speedway track? Seen standings. Looks like shoot out between Pedersen & Laguta. Michelson 3 behind, big ask to make that up in a single meeting.

Just watched meeting from Vojen's much better meeting than I expect from that track! Heats 5-8 & 17 to the end produced some great racing. Lebedevs & MJJ were the entertainers in chief. I do wish a Premiership team would persuade the Latvian to do a full season here. Horrible incident that saw Lindback injured, how Kildemande wasn't excluded I do not know. Jacobsen could surely have done better to avoid the Swede. Dave Rowe kept saying the final round was in Gorzow? I thought it was in Katowice? Haven't looked at the overall standings after this yet, but imagine it's wide open with Madsen missing the meeting & Laguta failing to make the top 6.

Those 2 points away at Scunthorpe should see the Brummies avoid the 2019 Championship Wooden Spoon. If they can keep the current septet fit one would think only Leicester should trouble them in the remaining home fixtures and a chance of away points still at Newcastle, Berwick & Edinburgh.

Did anyone else spend a couple of minutes staring at their scorecard wondering where they had gone wrong just because the Centre Green Announcer was 2 points out all night?

Bash the Bookie SEC finals Competition 2019

I assume Vojens will be gate & go snorefest, but haven't seen a meeting from there in an eternity. Not much value here R&R! How mean. Smektala £30 more. -
Ellis shouldn't miss any fixtures if signed before the season begins. Assuming he gets a Premiership spot those fixtures will be on a Monday & Thursday only. The only reason his Danish fixtures took precidence this year was because he was signed midseason having already committed to the Danish fixtures. British league as his "domestic" will always take precidence. Garrity's parent club (which I assume is Scunthorpe since the sad demise of the Bee's from Brandon) should get the option to sign him first. But it is really upto the rider.

It's also probably miles over the imposed points limit. Here you go... Adam Ellis 7.65 Jason Garrity 7.49 Tero Aarnio 6.67 Paco Castagna 5.59 Ashley Morris 5.46 James Shanes 5.20 38.06 No room for another heat leader (average higher than Aarnio) unless the points limit is nearly 45.

Agreed. Unless it is just wooden spoon avoidance.

While Shanes was riding well and we were treated to a decent race between the Brummies captain & Kerr, I thought it harsh taking Jenkins out of heat 14. Brummies only needed a 2-4 to secure the win and there was no way Castagna would have been beaten by Edwards. Jenkins might have beaten Edwards also. Jenkins is not going to get any better without competitive laps.

Track needs a bit more clay to blind it & hold water, it was neither warm nor windy tonight but was drying out quick.
-
Thinking back, Kennett did pass Castagna in heat 5 but only because the Italian was riding too conservatively narrow. Bit of a rut on the inside in the middle of turn 4 seemed to develop, caught a few riders out at some point tonight.

James Shanes, take a bow. 3 from the back wins including heat 15 & race of the night with Newman in heat 12. Didn't think this meeting was as entertaining as the Glasgow visit to Perry Barr. Jenkins won't be averaging much more than 2.00 on that form, very slow, just not as slow as Edwards. The rest of the Brummies did their job, life is much better with 3 rather than 1 heat leader. Newman for me was the pick of the visitors, would have put him heat 15 instead of Lawson or Kennett who were decent when they gated but never looked like making a pass. Lawson a bit naughy, chopping Castagna's nose off down the back straight lap 1 in heat 9 when the Italian looked to have the momentum to take the lead. I thought Kerr was disappointing. Wood won heat 1 but then did nothing. Track very thirsty, oddly dusty as bend 3 turns into bend 4.

I've finally seen a home win. Czestochowians will be relieved.
