Sheffield Tigers v Newcastle Diamonds
Col replied to Col's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Have only been to Eddie Wright Raceway once, when staying in Sheffield for work. Assumed it would be a significantly longer journey from home but it is still less than 2 hours (which is about my limit) according to Google. Wil keep that in mind next time. -

Glad they did that early. Will have to hope we can make it to Owlerton before the season ends. -
Just watched the Torun round having been out last night. Poor meeting from one of the better tracks in Poland generally. Miedzinski's move in heat 20 was dangerous, as was Madsen'si n heat 10. Absolutely no thought for their fellow riders. Jarek Hampel really is the most boring rider to watch these days.

Raining in Wolverhampton this morning, forecast for Sheffield looks worse. Won't be spending 4 hours in a car (there & back) to have a postponement ruin the day. Will reschedule pilgrimage. -

Weather forecast is not looking good, rain all day & all tomorrow in Sheffield. -
Aarnio crashed at Swindon last night & had to withdraw from the meeting, haven't seen any further details yet.

I expect my £10 to crash & burn, but he was in fine form Thursday night and Torun used to be his home track. -

Lob everything I have on Przedpelski. More, Including any spread stretcher! -
Just watched Piraterna v Lejonen. Heat 4 was good. Hampel laughably poor in heat 7. Impressed with Toernblom (if a youngster) until his final ride. Lejonen's engine room didn't show up, expected a closer result. Might be the best performance I've ever seen from Kasprzak. Drabik a bit unlucky, deserved more points.

Diamonds - S Worrall, Ostergaard, L Bjerre, Wethers, Jorgensen, Clegg, Phillips? -
Tempted to make the annual Owlerton pilgrimage when Newcastle visit this Sunday. Will Newcastle provide entertaining opposition for the Tigers?
-
Glad it was a good meeting, unable to make it. With no more holidays planned for either ourselves or the possible dog sitters looking forward to the rest of the season.
-
Well, the ride in which Shanes is least likely to score is when the alongside home #5 against the away #'s3&4 and #'s1&2. So give Wallinger those rides. Simples!
-
Well he will probably only have 3 rides, one of which will be heat 2 against the Somerset reserves. Shanes will surely take his final ride.
-
So Brummies are... Steve Worrall (G), Agertoft, Garrity, Castagna, Aarnio, Shanes, Wallinger. Know nothing about Wallinger. With lack of dog sitters, olds on South Coast & sprogs in Glasgow as fuzzy four leggers suffering with the temperature it's going to be a last minute decision whether we can make this.

Guessing team rebuild limit is 40 considering the recently redeclared septets are pretty close to that?
