  1. He was, never seen him ride like that before, however Lindgren was worse.
  2. First signs tonight for me that Zmarzlik has started thinking about the bigger picture & I'm not sure I like it. A few conservative defensive rides holding second rather than chasing the win.
  3. Iversen & Zagar were sooooo boring & barely troubled the scorers in Teterow weren't they?
  4. Just watched Vastervik (with Holta WTF) v Indians. Fairly entertaining. Felt for Woffinden, a TS off gate 4 and the last place in heat 15 when he'd dragged the team into contention. Bjerre removed a pull off from his goggles rather than shake a fist at Buczkowski when the Pole took him wide to pass fairly. Best Kildemande has ridden for about 4 years!
  5. I don't disagree, however i suspect he won't get a permanent wildcard as there are already two Danes in 2020 GP's. Iversen from the challenge & Madsen from the top 8. I'm not convinced Kolodziej will get a permanent wildcard if he finishes outside the top 8. Already 3 better Poles involved.
  6. Well it has been raining almost none stop in Telford since about 11:00 so it is not surprising. Hopefully I'll be able to make the rescheduled meeting
  7. I will curse him no doubt but Lambert £66 more. Sayfutdinov £67 less. Vaculik £66 more.
  8. Is Teterow the odd track where the start finish line is almost on the exit of turn 4?
  9. Sundstrom actually topped the averages for Coventry in 2013 & Peterborough in 2012 after a reasonable 2011 also in Panthers colours. 2011 Linus Sundstrom Peterborough 6.90 2012 Linus Sundstrom Peterborough 7.87 2013 Linus Sundstrom Coventry 7.22
  10. I think Sundstrom had a couple of good season with Rye House in second tier but that was about it. Maybe a year as a Panther in the top flight? My memory isn't that good
  11. But still better a more successful career than any other Swede younger than Lindgren or Lindback have had, or are likely to have with the possible exception of Berntzon. Berntzon's Nice League 1 stats don't suggest he is ready for Ekstraliga.
  12. PGE Ekstraliga Stats, again THJ is on top of the Swedes younger than Lindback & Lindgren 2012 37 Thomas H. JONASSON 1988 Gdańsk 1,659 2014 28 Thomas H. JONASSON Gdańsk 1,735 41 Linus SUNDSTROEM Gorzów 1,367 2015 39 Linus SUNDSTROEM Gorzów 1,359 40 Tomas H. JONASSON Leszno 1,351 2018 42. Linus SUNDSTROEM Gorzów 1,200 44. Jacob THORSSELL Zielona Góra 1,184
  13. WRONG! Jonasson has scored 11 points in a GP, 9 points in a GP and 8 points in a GP twice. Berntzon's best GP tally is 7. Thorsell's is 4. GP averages: Jonasson 90 103 4.58 Berntzon 15 12 3.20 Thorsell 15 7 1.87
  14. I didn't bother going as far as 2018, admittedly! The stats also fail to take into account whether the rider spent any time at reserve during the season. Dunno if there is historical data for Ekstraliga. I'll have a look later
  15. I like it when stats back me up. Svemo official averages for the riders mentioned. 2013 46. Tomas Jonasson Elit Vetlanda 16 69 88 1,275 52. Linus Sundström Piraterna 9 39 47 1,205 54. Kim Nilsson Vargarna 14 59 70 1,186 62. Jacob Thorssell 15 57 58 1,018 71. Oliver Berntzon Ikaros Smederna 16 55 45 0,818 2014 21. Tomas Jonasson Elit Vetlanda 18 79 131 1,658 37. Kim Nilsson Rospiggarna 18 81 119 1,469 39. Jacob Thorssell Elit Vetlanda 17 71 104 1,465 44. Oliver Berntzon Ikaros Smederna 15 64 88 1,375 53. Linus Sundström Piraterna 16 67 86 1,284 2015 33. Tomas Jonasson Elit Vetlanda 14 61 88 1,443 40. Linus Sundström Lejonen 12 59 76 1,288 46. Jacob Thorssell Elit Vetlanda 4 16 18 1,125 55. Kim Nilsson Rospiggarna 8 30 30 1,000 2016 26. Jacob Thorssell Rospiggarna 22 108 178 1,648 33. Kim Nilsson Masarna 14 59 86 1,458 36. Linus Sundström Masarna 13 60 86 1,433 58. Tomas Jonasson Elit Vetlanda 12 51 50 0,980 59. Oliver Berntzon Elit Vetlanda 12 47 46 0,979 2017 29. Oliver Berntzon Dackarna 18 83 125 1,506 32. Kim Nilsson Masarna 14 68 100 1,471 38. Linus Sundström Masarna 14 67 92 1,373 46. Jacob Thorssell Rospiggarna 16 63 80 1,270 53. Tomas Jonasson Vetlanda Speedway 16 74 76 1,027 So it's official, Tomas Jonasson was marginally better at his peak than Berntzon, Nilsson, Sundström & Thorsell!
  16. Riders can't stay at reserve if they score too much..... Unless we have a progressive league that promotes youngsters like Poland..
  17. Quite enjoyed that but looks like an uphill task for Gislaved. Lambert did well after a slow start but Drabik & Lebedevs were the entertainers. Better to watch after the second or third grading. Surely Hampel is done in Eliteserin now, woeful.
  18. Poole have had many highly acclaimed next big things according to forum posters. Let's hope THJ is better than Karol Baran. It'll make the playoffs more interesting, else Swindon will win in second gear.
  19. Chrikey, we are scraping the barrel here. Mikael Max was a GP rider when Lindback & Lindgren started riding in the UK. Lindgren & Lindback were both born in 1985 I think. Is there a Swedish rider born 86 or later who has had a better career than Jonasson? I don't believe so.
  20. Ljung is 3 years older than Lindgren & Lindback! Nilsson & Berntzon represented Sweden in the Speedway World Cup of 2014 when they failed to make the final. Hardly a CV enhancing performance that. I can't think that Thorsell has represented Sweden at any Speedway World Cup. I'm certain if you look back at Elitserien & Ekstraliga stats for Jonasson he compares well to Thorsell, Berntzon & Nilsson over the course of his career.
  21. I assume he is replacing the injured Richie Worrall?
