Next Promoters meeting - "Cards on the table"
Midnight_Lady replied to Phil's topic in 'The Way Ahead'
Me too Frigbo  Not to mention the daftest of all in the BLC :x Fans from all walks want the two leagues to work together for the survival of speedway but when you have certain teams willing to shaft others then how do you expect trust to be a consideration :?: :x -

Gemma, Pedersen should have gone to see how the rider whom he wiped out was. Call it manners or concern either way Pedersen doesn't appear to have any of those attributes. There is no "whether or not he took him out" He did. If Gollob's "fiery" temper had been present he would have done something more than just have words with Pedersen back in the pits. I admire loyalty but I think in this instance you should remove those rose tinted specs. -

I agreed with Sam and his comments about Nicki Pedersen. Sam as a rider knows what he is talking about and the fact that he said when Pedersen hit that rut he should have throttled off and not keep it going as the only outcome was going to be wiping someone out. Sadly he did wipe Gollob out and thankfully it wasn't a serious crash. Also noticed how concerned Pedersen was (NOT) as to how Gollob was after the crash. He never even went to see how he was :x -
Loram to miss World Cup?
Midnight_Lady replied to Peter's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
Surely if the riders wanted it off they should have grouped together and said NO to riding. But they didn't -

Midnight_Lady replied to Chris Brown's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I don't think Lukas was reckless. At first I thought Greg had squeezed him unfairly but on watching the replays I feel Greg was just racing. Definitely. I don't think the air fences are a good idea on the straights. They seem to suck in a rider if they get too close. As has been mentioned elsewhere they caused Paul Hurry's accident in the SWC also. -

But that's just the problem LW. Not everyone knows everyone on here and Cyclone would not have known Addy and Kevin Hammond were not being flippant. The boot is on the other foot with me as I know Cyclone better than I know Kevin Hammond and Addy (I have only met Addy fleetingly ) My point is it's so easy to defend the people you know and not so easy to fathom out the ones you don't know. -

Rolling starts in Grand Prix
Midnight_Lady replied to Philip Addison's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I agree Philip. I thought it was more to the fore in the Danish GP :x It's time the rules were applied and riders warned. If they don't stay still then they should be out of the race. I also hate the fact that races, which are stopped in the GP's for fallers when the race is practically finished and being well won by a rider, have to be re-run. More often than not the rider who was winning the original race by a big margin then loses the re-run :x So why should he have to do it all over again :?: Anyway it's the same sport so why should the rules be any different in the meetings :?: -
