Very very good rider and person

No you can use a pl guest if this happens
-
Tony Jackson does not seam concerned about fixture clashes with Poole being a Wednesday track.

This new promotion are doing the Comets fans proud. They are so much into fan / promotion interaction it's great. Hope they get rewarded next year with big crowds and good results because they deserve it for the effort they are putting in. Buying assets in these financial times another credit.
-
Pressure on them two reserves because the promotion have shown a massive sign of commitment especially in Chris Mills because at times last season he was embarrassing to watch. Ashley has improved slowly and I would have included him 100% but as for Mills it's good he is investing in better equipment but he needs the bottle back to ride them.
-
No way will they risk bringing Kenny back I would not think. This looks like freeing some points up to sign Cookie

Every fan loved the 4s qualifiers they had years ago and you read comments every year about it. These are different meeting creating excitement for fans but for some reason promoters don't seam to like the idea. I would rather see local 4s qualifiers than meaningless meetings or extra league meetings against the same old teams. And at least you would get the right teams in the final and just run a final rather than the semis on the same day creating a long drawn out meeting lasting hours

I dont want to see any rider injured but you can only go to the fans so much thats my point. Riders get less injuries so they should do there bit. An air fence helps riders from missing meetings due to injuries to. At Workington they are having everything you could think of to squeeze more money from the fans and so far the riders have not been involved at all.
-
Most clubs are doing air fence funds for the cost of there fences for next season but is it just me that's sick to the teeth of hearing about events to raise money for the fund. When the elite league had to have air fences clubs did meetings to help pay for these and riders riding for free but this time clubs are just begging fans for money. I truly believe it's right to have air fences at every track for safety. But an air fence does nothing for any fan, it's there purely to help stop riders getting injured. So to me it's the riders that should be doing there bit to raise money for these air fences as it them who will have all the benefit from them. But no it's the fans that have to cough up yet again.

Agree it seams someone has had an effect on Richards presence in Workington. How anyone falls out with Steve Lawson is beyond me but since she has been on the scene he has fallen out with his Dad moved away from the area now left the Comets so it looks like she has got her way.
-
I think it would be these for extra home and away fixtures Glasgow Edinburgh Berwick Workington Newcastle Redcar Sheffield Scunthorpe Ipswich Somerset Plymouth Rye House
-
It could work out a good idea. Clubs are asking for more meaningful meetings so they seam to have decided that they are doing extra 3 home 3 away. They will prob do it by distance meaning less travel and hopefully more fans traveling.
-
Thank God Workington are still in this league.
-
I can not see them getting the 20 riders they need at a standard that could cope with elite league meetings. They just seam to think that the young riders are going to jump at this no problem. Elite lol lol lol How the hell are they selling this to any TV company no wonder nothing has been signed. The premier league should go its own way and get its own TV deal cos it's gonna be better racing for sure.
-
WOW I just don't know what to say. Glad Workington are in the premier league. Would have been a good season to have an inter league cup cos the premier teams could be stronger than the "ELITE"
-
I can never understand the reasoning behind the points limit. We all know you need 46 points to win a meeting so reducing the points limit for initial team building just means every riders average going to go up because of the points they will score. The financial side of things will not change because of a points limit. There are still going to be 90 points paid each meeting. The riders will still ask for as much as they can get reguardless of any points limit. The promoters pay the riders its only them that can change this but reducing points limits only limits the quality of rider not the money paid out just fans not seeing the best available.

BT Sport are splashing the cash. Eurosport. Premier sport. Speedway not looking for big money like football. Not even anything like rugby league or union. All I'm saying is Sky is not the be all and and all.
-
I don't know why the scb are waiting for sky there are plenty of other channels who would snap the speedway up and maybe give better and more coverage. Our sport is so slow getting things in place just like the winter agm why it's so late in November when major decisions need made is unbelievable. Every club is waiting news to move forward it's a joke

Comets V Witches Plpo 28 Sept

Fantastic meeting which had everything. Firstly I really hope Tungate is ok because that was a very nasty crash. The speed he went into the fence was frightening and smashed two boards and a post. Passing close racing tight score brilliant heat 15. That's what speedway is all about and great to see a big crowd brilliant atmohere. -
After watching the team this year I would only have three of them back. Richard by no means my favourite rider but does ok just wish he would try to pass someone a bit more often can only remember three passes all season. Kyle as he is still improving and the same for Ashley. No Bach for me to inconsistent and always complaining. Rusty not going to improve now sadly. Tero again no improvement and seams injury prone. And as for Mills he should have gone a long time ago great lad but does not score. 1. Stead yes I would give it a go he loves Derwent Park 2. Kyle 3. 4. Campton 5.Richard 6.Ashley 7.Schram

Workington V Newcastle (lc) 13/04/13 7.00pm
GM replied to topaz325's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Well I truly think they did a great job preparing the track. If they had prepared it in the normal way we would have had no racing because it would have been waterlogged. People forget the track has only just thawed out its only the third meeting and the weather has been shocking so no complaints from me. I'm not saying I would not be complaining in a months time if the track did not improve but come on give them a break. Have to also say it was great how fast the meeting was run on Saturday even with Newcastle using R/R so much better time wise -
