  1. Looking forward to hearing accounts of heats 13 and 15 and seeing the dvd. Sounds like it was a bit mental. Congratulations to the Monarchs and look forward to Starman condoning the instructions in heat 15 Rico
  2. Enjoyable evening at the OTA. Meeting run through at a good pace, especially considering both teams were using r/r. Came away with slightly mixed feelings, felt Monarchs threw away a few silly points, but ultimately felt happy with the margin of defeat as it could have been worse. Rebels are very strong at home and tonight's match will be a big test for them. If it wasnt for the horrible traffic on the M5 I would visit more often, about 3 hours to get there, but home in under 2. Special mention to Aaron Fox last night, who really improved as the night went on. Had he been able to ride a little wider he would have scored a few more. He certainly made for a few good races in the second half of the match. Would like to think Monarchs can finish the job tonight but it will not be easy and could go down to the last couple of heats. Rico
  3. Miedzinski Jepsen jensen Jonsson Batchelor Batchelor top 8
  4. 11 - Krzysztof Kasprzak 7 - Matej Zagar 7 - Andreas Jonsson 7 - Michael Jepson Jensen 100 PTS = No Danes or Swedes in the final
  5. Don't forget the extra 2 league matches each club are allowed to select. Don't want to be seen to be different
  6. 10 Matej Zagar 5 Jarek Hampel 5 Andreas Jonsson 4 Chris Harris 75 Points = No Danes in the Final
  7. I guess the poster was referring to the scorers from here http://www.speedwaygb.co/news.php?extend.27034. Good effort Kus riding at both Berwick and Plymouth.
  8. Looked like there were more cars in the car park than fans there tonight. Very professional display from the Monarchs tonight, with everyone chipping in. Cook was head and shoulders above everyone Sedgemen solid, good pass in heat 1 Fricke looked fast. Nice ride to repass Kennett who had steamed past Max on back straight R/R definitely strengthened Monarchs tonight (no offence to Steve W intended but when you can replace someone who started the season on a 3 with the likes of Cook and Masters....) Sam some clever first bends saw him through to a great score Aaron looked very competitive and more than did his job Deek apart from one ride when he was off the pace was excellent For Rye Kennett was made to look ordinary, Garrity looked like a world champion when he had fresh air ahead of him. Boxall awful, Barrett worse, Greenwood promising. Most entertaining Rocket was Bowen who put 100% into every race and got probably the biggest cheer of the night for passing Fox in heat 2. If Monarchs have ideas of winning the league this was the sort of fixture they needed to do the job in and they more than did so. There will be much tougher tests to come in the playoffs but this will have done the teams confidence the world of good. Rico
  9. George, just go to www.monchat.co.uk and jobs a good un. Save it to your favourites so you don't forget
  10. Aj Smolinski Harris Lindgren Lebedevs to beat pedersen
  11. Depends if you consider one of the roofs purposes as being to keep the people dry under it. Thanks to the wind blowing the rain in horizontally at bend 3/4 we got rather soaked despite being undercover. Rico
  12. I would like to think I cared enough that it would. Sell the shared events on benefiting the future of Team GB. Time to look at the bigger picture. Rather than give a few hundred quid back to each promotion, invest in the future of the national team
  13. There is apparently a five year plan. What could it be? Will it be made public? Nah. Might I suggest something along the following lines Year 1 Take a team of U21s to ride test matches against Germany/Czech Republic U21s Get our youngsters riding abroad, even in Polish second league, German league, Czech league. Subsidise it even with shared event revenue. Year 2 Take same group to take on Danish / Polish U21s Year 3 Retake years 1 and 2. Learn learn learn Years 4 and 5 take on full internationals with the above countries. Along the way welcome touring parties from other countries and take them on at the likes of Somerset/Scunny. Tracks that need some oomph End of year 5 there may be some competitive kids. Come on. A lot of the issues are staring us straight in the face
  14. I predict a close run overall score between Poland, Denmark and Australia with Team GB cast aside. Just depends which teams lesser lights shine brightest. Poland I think may edge it but it will be close. Random number generator predicts Poland 38 Denmark 36 Australia 35 Team GB 18
