  1. I think Hancock hasn't shown a lot this season and is perhaps on the wind down in the GPs. I think they'll find it hard to justify asking him back if he continues in his current form in the GPs, regardless of past glories. Rico
  2. It will be interesting to see if Emil manages to make the top 8 upon his return from injury. If he doesn't, that will be one of the wildcard picks gone as he is a must for 2011. If no Brit qualifies from the GP challenge or finishes in the top 8 then do you think the organisers will hand out the two remaining wildcard picks to GB riders ? I'd like to think that they'll drop it to one next season as let's be honest that's probably one more than is deserved anyway. Also, in the current standings it's Nicki and AJ that occupy 8th and 9th, I'd have them both in the series every day of the week, but as things stand one will need a wildcard. Interesting times ahead - let's see how this one pans out after the GP challenge is out the way and the SGP 2010 comes to a conclusion. Rico
  3. I'm going to show utter blind faith and believe that Gollob is going to continue his amazing form and finally achieve in Cardiff. So I will stick with him as Captain. Rico
  4. Likewise will leave my team alone - Tomasz Gollob being captain for Torun round please Pete. Rico
  5. Our group is now making a flying visit to Grudziadz on Friday to take in the league match with Gdansk. Bit tight for time as we don't land in Bydgoszcz till 1625 and the match starts at 1800hrs but all being well we have a taxi arranged for the journey. So 3 matches in the 3 days of this trip, all of which should be good. Just counting down the hours now. Rico
  6. 3+3+3+3+3 = 15 + 3 = 18 + 6 = 24. 24 X 4 = 96. Rico
  7. I'll go for captain Gollob for this round in the hope the track holds together well. Rico
  8. I'm going to go a bit crazy and ask for Jarek Hampel to be my captain for the Prague round. Rico
  9. Oooh nice match to pick Bluejam - should be a belter. Local derby and 2 good teams to boot. I'd look into sorting your tickets in advance for that match as the ZG capacity isn't huge and they sell out for most of their home meets. They've got stadium renovations going on at the moment, not sure if they're going to be finished by the time of this match. If you need I can perhaps put you in touch with a helpful local. Rico
  10. Sorry I missed the above bit. Buying tickets should be straightforward enough. There are lots of ticket booths just as you enter the stadium complex on the right hand side. Rico
  11. Taxis should have their rates displayed in window - I have been fleeced a couple of times in the past but now if I feel I have been diddled I'll happily throw whatever I feel the trip was worth at the driver and get out. You should be fine getting one of the cabs at Poznan airport into town as they have to be licenced. To the station I'd be looking at around 25zl. In Leszno I'd say it should be no more than 15zl to the track. If you have time it's worth popping into the main square in Leszno and having a refreshment. I'm sure Mateusz said it was going to be hot in Poland this coming weekend, so don't forget your suncream Enjoy Rico
  12. David, When you enter Poznan Glowny station through the main entrance there will be ticket desks on both the left and right. The easiest way for a non-Polish speaker to obtain tickets in Poznan is to walk past the ticket desks on the hand side and you will see an ICC office. If you go in there, the people all speak English and will be happy to assist you. There are different types of trains that run between Leszno and Poznan, some are 'osobowy', which are purely 2nd class, while others are the InterCity trains, which generally run a bit faster - you need to make sure you have the correct ticket for the train you are on, so buying 2 one-ways is probably the wisest move. Having something written down for when you buy your tickets in Leszno will stand you in good stead. Enjoy your trip. Rico
  13. Well, looks like our flight has been re-instated. Fingers crossed we'll be flying out. If not, the cars in the airport car park to head for a port. Bring it on. Rico
  14. It appears they are starting Thursday - our flight on Thursday was cancelled, but now Ryanair are saying they're running a full service from UK to continental Europe from 5am tomorrow. They are selling seats on our flight now, something they definitely weren't doing this morning. Rico
  15. Steady on - you're flight won't be cancelled at the moment. Ryanair have cancelled their northern European services up to Thursday at 1pm thus far. Rico
  16. http://schchng.ryanair.com/refweb.asp Once approved your refund request will be automatically processed by Ryanair within 10 working days back onto the form of payment used in your booking. Your bank may then take 5-7 working days to process this refund amount back to your account. No changes to your request will be accepted once submitted So don't expect it too quickly. And I'm wondering just what fees Ryanair will try and keep or will it be the full amount. Rico
  17. Well, that's Ryanair cancelled the Thursday lunchtime flight to Poznan for us - in fairness it's nice to know early. So, road trip it is. Should be an adventure. Rico
  18. Hi Pete, Thanks for running this again. My picks will be 2. Tomasz GOLLOB £50,000 (Captain) 6. Nicki PEDERSEN £45,000 8. Kenneth BJERRE £35,000 12. Chris HOLDER £35,000 13. Jaroslaw HAMPEL £25,000 Rico
  19. I think it would be good if perhaps the organisers made a statement at this early stage to confirm the event will take place regardless of the flight situation in order to allow people to make back up arrangements. As it's in western Poland it's not so bad. Booked to fly out on Thursday, but I can see the car being used. Really don't fancy the drive, but needs must. Rico
  20. 23:47 arriving in Wroclaw 01:15 then 03:21 arriving in Wroclaw 04:45 per www.polrail.com Rico
  21. Looking like 4 next year, 3 Polish and Cardiff. Hopefully also manage to tag a match at Wanda Krakow in to one of the trips too, which has become a bit of a holy grail If things go to plan logistically, then I will be taking my little 'un to Torun, which should be quite an adventure for him. Rico
  22. Ouch, given the averages of those 2 above. Rico
