  3. Can anyone tell me the track record, holder and time set when racing sadly stopped at The Groveway in 1988 please?

It certainly does - thanks very much.
  6. Can't argue with that one - and we all know who stitched him up don't we?
  7. We were ok in '87, we were stitched up in '88.

    Many thanks B5.
  10. Main Man, Schumi's post was asking for information on tracks abroad. Now if your book does what it says on the can, it won't help much here will it?
  11. So there is some justice left in this world then. Thanks for clarifying that Norbold.
  12. OK thanks, please keep us posted.......but remember your attendance will be swelled by around 60 travelling British fans if the meeting goes ahead.
  13. Many thanks gentlemen.
  14. Can anyone tell me who were the promoters of the Admirals in their short stay in Division Two in the late 60's please?
  15. Thanks for the info Peter.....great news indeed!!

Just bringing this back to the top in the hope that someone can help?
  22. Thanks for the update Anders, but the same day as the GP seems crazy to me! Why not delay it 24 hours and hope to get some people who may be in the area following the GP to attend!!

I only visited New Hammond Beck Road once, and it was one of the coldest nights that I've ever watched speedway. If I remember correctly, the track had sea-shells amongst the shale, but that could just be my memory playing tricks........can anyone confirm? Arthur Price and Carl Glover are two names who'll always be associated with the Barracudas, along with Rob Hollingworth, Michael Lee, Gary Gugliemi and Steve Lomas. I met Steve (in Croatia, of all places) last year and he's a thoroughly nice bloke. I know he held the track record there at the start of the 1986 season, but did he still hold it when the track sadly closed? And has anyone else got any memories from Boston?
  24. Make Moggo 18, you forgot Sheffield.
