  1. Blimey, I thought they'd taken a step in the right direction when they moved to seven man teams a couple of years ago, but that sounds complicated - typical speedway.
  2. Thanks arnieg. A strange system when you get a point for losing - do you know if there are 2 points for a draw?
  3. Can someone please explain the league points scoring system in the Danish League? For example, in 2004 Holsted won the league and scored 33 points. They won 9 matches and drew 0. How did the 33 points add up?
  4. Indeed it is - at Wiener Neustadt in Austria.
  5. Yes, thanks for the result Lydia - no surprise at the winner though, that guy's going to go an awfully long way in the sport.
  6. Don't forget to pack your helmet Mr Snackette and give the ferries a wide berth this time.
  7. The weather in Sweden has been fine up to now, one rain off which was conference league. Treated to a pub night out Lovely in Stockholm yesterday and good today.
  8. We'll be there to see it too, history in the making.
  9. You were struggling in the POW after the British GP though Matt.
  10. Obviously you didn't see the move he pulled on Scotty in Prague a couple of weeks ago then?
  11. I guess that's a coffee BB - he's tee-total now (isn't he? )
  12. Are the riders in the same riding order as they were in Event 1 osn?
  13. So maybe Gary Havelock should come into the equation - after all, he did win the World Championship on that track.
  14. Sky were indicating on Sunday that Steve Johnston was riding for Australia - does this mean Davey Watt's not fit or what?
  15. The idea of "tactical rides" for league competition was the brainchild of the late Simon Wigg. No doubt BSI decided they liked the idea and adopted it for the SWC. Personally I am against it in any competition and I'd be hard pushed to think of any other fan I've spoken to who approves of it, but TV does pull the strings in most sports nowadays, so I guess it's here to stay.
  16. ........... And if he scores zero will be half way towards Jerzy Sczakiel's achievement of two WTC zeros in a row.
  17. By winning all his races Jo. Don't want to influence you Jo, but the one with the red on it would be better.
  18. This isn't a critisisim Sue, just an observation:- Topinka scored 7 and the Czech Republic total was 26
  19. An outstanding performance from all our guys - hats off to them all and all the best to them for the Final - they did us proud tonight.
  20. I think Richardson's GP career is over anyway - currently 14th of the 15 regular GP riders. Not really in a position to hope for a 2006 nomination and certainly not going to qualify on his own merits.
