  1. This kind of thing is always subjective, but may I suggest Roman Povazhny as your Russian reserve?
  2. You're not suggesting personal preferences could come into play are you Lioness?
  3. You don't have to take that from her Peter. :clown
  4. I take your point Lioness - but how many mainstream airports are there in Poland?
  5. Seriously, this is an interesting point and if anyone can clarify the ruling I'm sure it would of interest to everyone.
  6. They ride in Sweden, Poland etc every week, so I can't see Cumbria being too much of a problem.
  7. Memories for me include sitting on Clapham Common eating corned beef and mustard sandwiches and watching the planes flying above and wondering if Tommy J or any of the other top Swedes were in them and flying in for the meeting. OMG I've just read this back and I think I've finally lost it
  8. He gave every indication he would be when interviewed at Oxford last night.
  9. Hi Neil and welcome to our forum. "Homes of British Speedway" by Robert Bamford and John Jarvis will have all the info you need (and some) ISBN 0-7524-2210-3
  10. I've read your post three times Shazzy, but still can't find where you've hidden Mark Loram's name ;-) Peter Collins wins this thread hands down (imo)

    Scott Autrey 50th

Is that where the saying "life begins at 40" comes from Gem?
  12. And worse than that, you have to reduce the £1,000,000 by 20% because of commission paid.
  13. The same from me too Jo - just be careful when you jump and and down excitedly. :clown
  14. Sounds like a good story Fd - Please tell us more......
  15. To be honest sandman, I really don't care that much anymore :!:
  16. I certainly haven't. Lioness was/is one of the mainstays of the forum whose postings were/are inteligently written and made a excellent read. She also had/has an excellent sense of humour and had me laughing out loud on many occasions both on and "behind" the forum. If you read this Lioness, we are missing you, you're one of the family, take some time out if you wish but please come back to us - this forum needs you K. :!:
  17. Lunchy, I agree with both things you say in the first quote, and in the second quote you ask for ideas on how to deal with it, so here goes... Make an example of the most blatant offender and ban them, hopefully the rest will then take that as a warning and clean up their act. If they don't, systematically ban them until the message finally gets through.
  18. CHK - You seem to be missing the point big time. The mods do a great job - I've not got a problem with any of them whatsoever - The problem lies squarely in the lap of the person you seem to be trying to find excuses for!!! Give up mate - there is no excuse for that kind of behaviour or posting - it's as simple as that!!!!
  19. One simple ban would achieve all your wishes (IMO) Krissie - look at the facts, two threads turn really nasty, they both have one thing in common - clear that out and normality will return, ignore it and I, for one will be following Lioness.
  20. while burning rubber, no doubt ;-)
  21. Peter Collins (and I've never seen him in a shower)
  22. Does that mean you can fix it too Lioness? ;-)
  23. Is that a song that'll get on your nerves, get on your nerves, get on...... :?:
