I feel a referendum coming on - should he stay, or should he go. :?:
-
Forward it to your lawyers Steve - what goes round comes around.
-
He seems to have them fairly regularly though doesn't he? :x
-
I'm impressed - hat's off to both of them.
-
Well said Krissie - he goes or we do. We've built up a great "forum family" here and it just takes one person to wreck that. I was seriously considering my forum future after reading the Canterbury thread and I'm sure many others would too if that kind of posting becomes the norm.

SGP of Sweden - Avesta Sweden 31st May

Highlight of the show for me was Crumpy crying - just proves he's not got the temperament to do it - Tricky, despite having a disappointing night by his standards was smiling and offering his congratulations to others, while Crumpie was sulking and hiding :!: -

I think you do really Rabbit. -
Thanks for taking the time to reply David, and the very best of luck with the venture if you choose to pursue it. If you do go ahead and assemble a line-up on a par with line-ups from the past, I'm sure Plough Lane will witness it's biggest crowd for 30 years! It's great to hear of a promotion thinking big these days, and hopefully the days of seeing the red and yellow back regularly in the top league aren't that far away.
-
I'd certainly be there - The Internationale brings back many good memories for me - The meeting very often had a better line-up than the World Final and there was always a brilliant atmosphere - It was always considered to be the most prestigeous meeting held in the UK outside of the WC and I see no reason it couldn't reclaim that position - Go for it Wimbledon PLEASE.
-
I agree with you about that decision being taken very early Salty, but in fairness, although clearly suffering a considerable financial loss, they stuck with it and made no attempt to withdraw from the league as many teams have done in the past.
-
I'll confirm it nearer the time Steve, but if I do you can count on updates :!:
-
And a long lasting drive home too.

Well you can nip across to Sheffield

Thanks indeed 121 - pls read your email. -
A good story there Shazzy. Do you remember the night Barney beat Peter Collins in the British Under 21 Championship, although PC went on to win the meeting?

Addy - I'm not questioning Mark's intentions for one minute, and I too believe he had every intention of riding and no doubt, as you rightly say, scoring more points than five. Are you saying Andreas should have turned up at the GP if he wanted to be awarded his point, because as far as I can see that's the only difference, or am I missing something? One thing is for sure as LW says, that the can of worms is now well and truely open with the FIM seemingly bringing in a new rule for Mark. -

By declaring himself unfit he gave the opportunity for his place to be filled by someone else - why should he be punished for that? Food for thought :?: -

That's what I thought when I heard the decision taken with Loram - If Andreas lodgesan appeal, and imo he should, the FIM will find it extremely hard to justify not awarding him the points. Doesn't apply to Andreas as he wasn't in the Main Event, he would only have been awarded a point! Sure LW, you are correct, but nonetheless he should be entitled to it (imo). -

I believe the correct decision was taken with Mark, and the five points he got were a result of his qualifying position from last year so they were deserved - he earnt them on the track. He will be at a disadvantage in the next GP because he'll have to start in the qualifiers, so what goes round comes round. A good decision from the FIM, only spoilt because they haven't (yet) extended the ruling to Andreas. -
