  1. Having a rule that bans a team from replacing a long term injury victim at any point in the season is bad. IMO. Having a rule that bans a team from bringing in a ringer near the play offs is good. IMO Now I know most on here think replacing a lad in hospital isn’t for them but I don’t agree with it, for any team. If Jason got injured I’d love to see Ipswich follow the rules as we did and sign Dan for the rest of the year. Hopefully the Kings Lynn away match will go ahead with a few more bums on seats as the prodigal son returns. You’re welcome Buster.
  2. Belle Vue with Max in. “Not a great team, probably choke, just don’t do it for me” Belle Vue with Max injured and replaced by Lambert. “Might as well hand them the trophy now”. No Lambert. “Lambert should be riding over here, I’m so angry he’s not”. With Lambert. “Why is he riding over here, I’m so angry”. Guest. “Guests are crazy especially in the play offs, no wonder they don’t take the sport seriously”. No Guest. “They should be made to use guests, no wonder they don’t take the sport seriously”. You guys are as dumb as.
  3. This forum perfectly sums up why the sport is dead. It matters not a jot to you lot that the rules were correctly followed, it’s not even about fair play as you scumbags were rubbing your hands with glee once Max was in hospital and we had a second division rider covering - you were in glover as normally Cooks 5 to Maxs 16 would have been an issue that would have swung the tie away from the Aces. The people running the sport are fans who’ve got lucky in business and have a bob or two but primarily they are fans, just like you. Spiteful, devious, sick, just basic horrible individuals who bend and break the rules to feather their own nest and sod the bigger picture. Well done guys, you’ve killed it off with your hatred of the rule book and one particular team.
  4. Mistakes like this shouldn’t happen, especially when the rules are clear. Petty jealousies cloud the issue with board members making decisions to suit their own team. Whilst it‘s frustrating that BSF members spout spiteful incorrect rubbish, to have the BSPL committee doing so is unacceptable and the main reason why the sport is dead.
  5. It’s not the same thing at all. Glues. 1.Definite article 2.Caplitals
  6. Your rule “no transfers until 25% of the season is completed” The actual rule A Premiership Transfer Window opens after 25% of the League fixtures are complete and closes when 75% of League fixtures are complete. This permits changes to the team on 2 occasions, except for proven long term injury.
  7. It doesn’t say season. Please please please just quote the rule, you don’t need to make your own words up to try and fit your argument.
  8. The rule book exactly says that. Please please please read it before posting nonsense that the muppets on here will take as gospel. And please see our initial declaration here along with the rest of the league https://britishspeedway.co.uk/wp-content/uploads/2022/03/p22_issue_1.pdf
  9. Rules are written this way so the management committee can decide how rules will be implemented depending on who is asking. Basically it’s always a no for the Aces and a yes for the rest. No rider, whose team has qualified for the play offs…….. Or No rider, whose team is in the top four positions in the league table……. Simple.
  10. Harry losing his mojo had a big impact and unfortunate incidents hampered our efforts, though this can happen to most clubs. We were on the back foot when we lost to a Henry Atkins inspired Plymouth. Oxford and others met Plymouth with a 3 pointer in his place so victory was a breeze for them. Being made to ride that crucial fixture last night in those conditions just rubbed salt into the wounds. I’m told conditions were worse than the previously mentioned Plymouth meeting, incidentally my last ever away match.
  11. So there’s no limit to the amount of times you can change your rising star?
  12. You can make two changes a season in between 25% and 75% of completed League fixtures except for proven long term injury.
  13. Last visited in 2019. Left at heat 7 with the Aces in front. Not for me I’m afraid. Now I just check updates every now and again. FTG or great pass off bend 2 lap 1. Just not my thing.
  14. Depends which of the two separate (even in separate sections ffs) rules pertaining to late season team building you go with. Common sense suggests you go with the newest rule and not the rule they forgot to remove. Common sense, what place has that in UK speedway? Anyway it’s served its purpose and stopped the Aces bringing in adequate cover for our world champion, laid up for months with multiple injuries. Obnoxious behaviour even for the BSPL and it’s many muppet sycophants.
  15. I’d be very surprised if there wasn’t a rule change re Jaimon as even though he’s only missed two seasons his low average for Belle Vue will not go down well with BSPL bosses. Imagine us trying to sign the world champion on a 7.00, that would never happen, especially if it was just for the play offs.
  16. There’s four top tier only riders in our team alone. We put up with Jason Doyle’s Ipswich team visiting three times while you get to enjoy four visits from Plymouth. The dreadful “racing” will be just the same no matter what division you’re in as at the end of the day it’s Poole. Gate ‘n’ go.
  17. Astonishing that someone thinks replacing Max with Klindt or Pickering makes us stronger.
  18. Not bad though not mentioning his 1 point return when representing Edinburgh 3/10/13 was a schoolboy error. It’s amazing that Max has achieved a “normal” performance level at Foxhall given he’s only completed one full season with the Witches as top flight opponents.
  19. My speedway watching experience over the years. Watch all Belle Vue meetings home & away. Watch all Ellesmere Port home fixtures. Watch many many individual and test matches at away tracks. Attend nearby tracks when holidaying in the UK. Watch all Belle Vue meetings home & away. Watch all Ellesmere Port home fixtures. Watch many individual and test matches at away tracks. Watch all Belle Vue meetings home & away. Watch all Ellesmere Port home fixtures. Watch all Belle Vue meetings home & away. Watch all Belle Vue home meetings. Watch most Belle Vue home meetings. My speedway attendance reduced by 75% as they pushed me away.
  20. Poole did it when we rode at Kirky Lane, a lot of clubs do it such as wolves against the stars. Difficult to level this at Belle Vue unless we have been doing it all year at Owlerton as we have scored a consistent 33,36 & 37 when losing to the tigers. Clubs that do this show little respect to the paying supporters or should that be the appropriate level of respect to current fans? Speedway is at a point now that is fully deserved for most of its customer base. Very sad. BTW, the Aces weren’t lowering their averages in the 55-23 defeat, it’s not how we operate, unless you’re also of the opinion that we were dropping our average when the Bees dumped us out of the cup later in the season with home and away wins 44-34 & 38-40. Bammy, if he said it, was pulling your leg as we had a few maulings that year.
  21. They can’t gate, it’s been the same for decades. It’s ok at home as they can race for points and it makes for an exciting nights entertainment. With other tracks favouring the gate & go type of speedway it makes things tough for the Aces.
  22. Max only scored 16+1 last time we were there so Belle Vue won’t miss him, said BSF in their usual inept manner. 40-16+6=30-60 to Ipswich. He top scored in the home meeting too! Belle Vue to choke in a similar manner to all the other times and like PC in the ‘77 world final. Forum muppets do your thing.
