  1. Feel for the lad and I hope he sorts his ankle and comes back stronger next year. No real adequate cover out there but it’s no loss as our goose was cooked when Dan was injured. Some sort of luck still with us. Having said all this I’m hoping Mark doesn’t do an Andersen and ride abroad whilst claiming to be injured in the UK as that would be cheating.
  2. Confidence thing with Jack, everything else is there. Riders and fans alike say how races are won and lost in the mind. I’m not sure it the new UK set up have got hold of him yet but it would be interesting to see if they could help turn things round.
  3. We were hit with the TV, it being an off night and the kids just back at school. Taking that into account the 1700 was ok and still the highest attendance that week in the UK for a team event Belle Vue are without doubt the best supported club in UK speedway but that also indicates the troubles currently facing the sport.
  4. Its was the idiot from Poole (not a narrow choice granted) who whilst we all discussed how much we enjoyed heat 13, needlessly dug out a Poole race saying it was better. The subsequent discussion then had the other idiot Poole fans joining in and doing what they do best. Very sad. Amyway I’m going to watch heat 13 again.
  5. Do onto others? So if we produce a wonderful racetrack like that seen last night on tv, you will too?
  6. He typed into google “good race Poole” and got something from 14 years ago. Very amusing that he tries to make out how good his gate & go track is but ends up showing it up for what it is. The gift that keeps on giving.
  7. Is there a specific date when Belle Vues luck changes to then even itself out?
  8. If your not confident your team can will on the most entertaining surface you can provide and doctor the track accordingly then you really need to look at something else to do and leave this great sport of ours alone.
  9. I’ll be there. Do Robins fans really feel it will the last meeting at the Abbey?
  10. From my experience at the NSS, nowadays slicker is better. Must be something to do with the bikes as it seems counterintuitive to me, a fan from the seventies.
  11. As pleased I was with the win last night and the fact we made the play offs, by far the best thing is we have an extra meeting at this fabulous circuit and it’s on telly too.
  12. That second paragraph is the wrongest thing I’ve ever read but then I know first hand what went on. This coupled with your opinion that we didn’t miss Dan shows a lack of understanding of our sport that is truly embarrassing. Voicing these idiotic ideas would be bad enough in a pub but to put them on a SPEEDWAY forum beggars belief.
  13. Mildenhall is a cup fixture. We have IOW on Friday to finish off our home league meetings. I still think we’ll miss out though.
  14. The FIM discussed the make up of the potential line ups with the each countries governing body to help minimise disruption at club level. The BSPA forced Belle Vue to complete the Stars fixture dispite our strenuous attempts to change it.
  15. Not according to the Stars info in their bumper pre season preview which states Friday In this instance for BSPA read the idiot Godfrey. He’s only now trotting this out to make himself look and feel better.
  16. I scratch my head when thinking about Richie. How you can have two literally identical riders with access to the same supply chain re equipment and tuners but perform so differently. I’ve toyed with the idea of having him back in the watered down league next year and partnering him with Steve. They are very close and could hopefully feed off each other.
  17. He’ll start on 8.84 next season. Still not bad and not 13 like some.
  18. Leicester ‘s team total for September is 37.62, multiply that by the PL/CL conversion rate and it gives a CL total of 48.91. The highest current CL team is Edinburgh with a total of 45.64 so not much in it.
  19. Oh and just looking in my crystal ball, both Kurtz and Jakobsen will been in the Poole line up next year.
  20. Poole do this, they first did it at a lowly Belle Vue many years ago. It’s a consequence of the play offs and serves to drive away the die hard fans, much like the chucking of early season fixture to help bolster the team. We really have the fans the sport deserves if you cannot see it. They could serve anything up to you guys and you’d just lap it up.
  21. Dan scored 14+2 in the 47-43 win last time. Considering his replacements on Monday fail to beat an opponent and gained only one point, you have to say we haven’t a cat in hells chance of winning this.
  22. You’ve got to go back to May to find the last time Schlein scored more than 8 from his first four rides. Some sort of luck is still with us. Even out my arse.
