  1. Bewley and Smith were available to ride for The Colts at Birmingham once Poole was called off. Brummies subsequently got rained off but I think it can and should be allowed. The only times there's an issue is if a guest has been booked and it's unfair on them to ditch them at the last minute. I remember Sam Masters enjoying a free meal at NSS whilst watching his guest replacement.
  2. Don't forget the smiley when discussing injury hit teams.
  3. Two blew up on Friday and he was on his brothers today. P.S Looks like Bewley & Shuttleworth are the latest victims.
  4. Agreed, with no home advantage. We'll just have to hope Kenneth sorts his motors, maybe bring his European kit over. I think having Max back in the team will also help.
  5. Had the Lions meeting been the second leg of a two way tie we would have won the tie, same with the Pirates & Wolves meetings today. FYI, the cup meetings are run over two legs.
  6. Belle Vue had a back up for tonight. Professional approach. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail.
  7. I still think we'll qualify. Just my opinion though.
  8. Another aggregate win to add to our impressive total, bodes well for the upcoming cup meetings.
  9. Decent backs to the wall show from The Aces who just missed out on a point in the last heat. Tbh I thought this would have been over far earlier with Ken & Max's rides netting only 6 points. Poole can only beat what's put in front of them I guess. Another aggregate win to add to our impressive total, so it bodes well for the forthcoming cup ties.
  10. Aces picked their worst day of the year to leave their gating gloves at home. Just glad it doesn't matter. Phew!
  11. Going to be tough at fortress monmore. They are the only track to average in the 50's such is their enormous home track advantage. Things aren't helped with our gating prowess deserting us at present. Don't forget the fines for any Aces rider that moves off the white line. Stay safe. Wolves by 14.
  12. I don't for one minute think we won't build up some home advantage it's just everything is still new in speedway terms and the current track team have only been at it a year due to Meredith Snr retiring. There is a lot of inconsistency in the finished track presented to the riders and we seem slower to change things on the bikes to suit what's needed. I think the away team who arrive with a clean slate find it easier to make the small tweaks to get the best performance. Everybody loved Hyde Rd and even though it was very fair to all, we still had a home advantage that had been built up over time.
  13. Wolves only appear to ride better when at home. Weird that.
  14. The meetings are still in the fixture list, 9 & 11 of October so they been moved back. Will they go ahead?
  15. Reading the updates site from our last match there every heat was from the gate. The Aces don't seem to have their gating gloves which is oh so important down there. The only thing that will stop a big win for the pirates is if the promotion think sod it let's put on a show for the holidaymakers and prepare a racers track. Bigger picture guys. Pirates by 14.
  16. Get yourself up to the NSS next Friday, you can leave all the speedway blues behind you and enjoy and super evening.
  17. That's another reason why I hate the play offs. You either get teams at the beginning of the year mucking about to bolster the team or teams testing (copy write Leigh Adams) at the end. Arrrgg! Why bother putting out a track that's difficult to pass on save for the inside when you're due at Wolves a few days later? You can practice white lining there.
  18. So do you think we should have replaced Lee with another full time team member for this meeting?
