  1. Tai just tweeted to confirm his broken clavicle, what a shame. Track is a disgrace, so much for Ole Olsen's confidence that he could repair it. I suspect that, as usual, no-one will be held accountable, just much hand wringing and pointing out that us men on the street just don't understand what is involved in getting the track race-able.
  2. I understand that, but why would they prepare it midweek if they are confident that (after fences etc put in) they could get the actual track prep done to the same standard in a few hours. There is obviously going to have to be considerable compromise in my opinion as it is inconceivable for it not to go ahead. Good luck to all concerned.
  3. Thanks for the update Philip. Difficult to see the above being the case in reality - if Olsen can be 'confident' to have a track prepared in this short a time to meet previous standards why would they not do it in that time frame every year?
  4. Hi Derek Will do, looking forward to this one, hopefully the Kings will get a win on the board Cheers John
  5. No way Hearn would get involved, he absolutely hates motor sports from what I have heard. I cant see him increasing his workload these days anyhow, more likely to hand more off to Eddie I would guess.
  6. Totally agree. Absolute botch up today, and a stark reminder of just how bad Len is at staging afternoon meetings (not that I should need reminding after all these years!!!). The meeting only had 2 small incidents, a loop at the start and 2 riders colliding on 4th bend, neither of which affected the fence yet the meeting took just on 2 hours to complete. There were a number of stoppages for riders having to take 2 rides in a row, which is unavoidable, but, if anyone had an ounce of organizational skill, track watering could have been done to coincide with this rather than at points where there should have been no need for delays. The additional delay for the water to 'permeate' being a low point as it was obvious was that it would just dry out meaning the whole delay was a waste of time. Add to this some other random irritations, announcer - 'it's the return of super mear-io', the first aider not arriving again (once understandable, twice.....), 2 Rockets who appeared clearly unfit, Mellgren nowhere near his form of last year, and this was a day to forget.
  7. Looking forward to my first visit to Central Park, looking likely that the weather will be good; http://www.bbc.co.uk/weather/2637802 Hoping that the Kings are on form as this looks like yet another tough match for them, it will be interesting to see if Benji Compton hits the ground running.
  8. Must be cold up there on your high horse.
  9. Did it contain the phrase 'stick it up his poop chute' like your previous post?!
  10. Don't think so, Len is always right - even if he is wrong.
  11. I think that the only 'Brits' that will be taken into consideration will be the paymasters at Sky. As long as they desire a Brit in the GP there will be one, 2013 included.
  12. This . Ales has stepped up and put himself in this position through committing to the qualifiers so good luck if he gets through, even if there are others I would rather see go through. Some others even turn down a Wild Card then expect a divine right to be offered another one the next year!!
  13. Even if West Ham move in there will be retractable seating, as a requirement for 2017 World Athletics Championship, so I cannot see that being a problem.
  14. The worrying thing is that all of the signs were there at the start of the season, Mellgren only arrived having become available by chance, but this team always looked weak.
  15. Awful result from a woeful team. Well done to Redcar, but still no replacement for 747 is nothing short of a disgrace now the team is struggling this badly. I can only imagine the crowd was very low for this one.
  16. Totally agree, I ordered for Copenhagen early in the year and had the tickets within a week, but Cardiff ones only spun up this week.
  17. He would undoubtedly be the popular choice
  18. http://www.ticketmaster.co.uk/event/350046E6F8BC447D Probably as good a place as any to get Cardiff Tickets.
  19. I would highly recommend a visit to Defunct Speedway site
  20. Its not Rye House, for sure, my first thought was Arlington, but not sure the dates fit?
  21. Is the right answer, GP 25 mins from home - brilliant. Having passed Stratford each morning on the way to work I have been really impressed with the regeneration work. Stratford has far more local facilities than Wembley now too with the bars, restaurants (for all budgets), shopping and Casino to name but a few.
