  1. KK going straight through the 3rd bend fence at Poole (there was two rows of metal wire that held the fence boards up) and then jumping back over the fence thankfully unscathed.
  2. Thank you FB, I do know a little about Lemo as I was a big fan of his right from when he first came over as a 17 year old way back in 1990 and did demonstration races before, during and after the meetings against Justin Elkins and Jason Crump.I seem to recall the fee Newcastle paid was fairly small because of his age (he would have been 36/37 at the time) of about £1000, but it may have been less not 100% sure on the exact fee, I just know it wasn't much.
  3. What a surprise you still think you are correct. For an ex journalists, your not very good at finding out facts!!!!Try Wikipedia if you can't find the British speedway Website rider list. Just type in Mark Lemon and read it for yourself, because you are 100% wrong about him being a Poole asset until he retired!!!! He was A Newcastle asset from 24th November 2010!!!!
  4. I can assure you Lemo WAS sold to Newcastle on a full transfer in 2010......Check out the British Speedway website under rider index and you will clearly see he was sold to the Diamonds on the 24th November 2010, it's there in black and white!!!!!I won't hold my breath for yours and Skidder1's apology!!!!!
  5. Sorry for being a bit late, but great news for Coventry that they will still be going for a year or two, hopefully many, many more too, British speedway can't afford to lose any more teams.
  6. As I said earlier James Holder WAS signed by Matt Ford as a Poole asset.
  7. Gilmore was at Poole last week and Lidsey was at Poole last season. Actually Matt Ford DID sign James Holder, he is or was a Poole asset.
  8. Jeez Coventry twice more?? That will be what, the last four or five Sky meetings featuring them?? Are there no other teams they can show??
  9. When Michael Lee was banned back in 83? Pooles favourite two guest riders for him were John 'cowboy' Cook and Phil Collins and both always did a sterling job for the Pirates.
  10. We all no there was no matches for Poole in June because football loving Matt Ford didn't want meetings while the European Championship was on.
  11. I live a couple of miles from Verwood and have only been to the beach once in the last 25-30 years.
  12. Personally I wouldn't touch King with a barge pole, when he was at the back last night he was a loooooooooonnnnnngggg way behind and that's against riders who won't be in the World Cup!!!!! For me it has to be Woffinden,Lambert,Cook (or Harris) Steve Worrall and Ellis. An outside bet would be Kennett on this seasons EL form which has been far far superior to Kings.
  13. Said it before and I'll say it again....This Poole team will NOT even make the play offs.....total tripe away again!!!!!!!
  14. The riders are Red Bull sponsored Janowski and the Pawlicki brothers with Hampel there watching.
  15. It was 3,2*2,3 actually, but he only beat Mear and Kerr the Lakeside reserves......just!!
  16. Careful, you'll have that Ipswich supporter telling you how unsportsmanlike it is to celebrate your team winning!!!
  17. Thought the plan was to get Holder down there for the play offs
  18. Could whoever does the EL table on the updates site please give Poole their correct points?? They have 7 x 3 point wins = 21 + an away draw 2 points + 1 point for losing away by 6 points or less = 24 not 19!!!! The table was updated on 7th July and still we only have 19 points. I have a calculator they can borrow if they are having trouble with their adding up!!!
  19. Did you not go to the last match against Swindon?? Track was totally smooth no holes or bumps whatsoever, even the hole on the first bend was gone.
  20. He was a guest for Bjarne Pedersen? Or he is eligible as he rode in the NL for Eastbourne last year so must have British parent/s grandparent/s??
