Both FIM Europe meetings in the Ukraine have been cancelled and will not be run anywhere else. This means there are only two qualifiers for the SEC challange and that the pairs competition only has a final round.

Might be early days but the FIM is worried about the hosts for next year as there is a lack of requests from venues to host a SGP qualifier, same counts for the U21 world championship. (source: last weekends Geneva CCP meeting minutes)

The World championship 1000cc sidecars might be coming back was decided last weekend in Geneva. CCP/FIM will make a survey for all federations to find out if this championship will be restarted in the future.

The venue of round 3 will be announced in the coming weeks according to today's One Sport press release.

Received a press release yesterday (strange day) about the WSL. It will be held on April 25 in Gorzow.

FIM confirmed that Svensson will go to Almaty.

That's right, but he also got some sad news in the paddock (grandfather passed away). Henderson was asked to replace him in Almaty but he declined. No time to drive all the way to Kazakstan and flying (with bike) was not an option financially. Now waiting for confirmation if Nicklas Svensson is up for it.

It is what you call it haha. In Holland and Germany they call it 'ijsspeedway' and 'eisspeedway' which translates to icespeedway. The indoor hockey fun they call in Germany 'speedway on ice'.

Stellingwerf will not ride in the GP's unfortunatly. He will probably be replaced by Antonin Klatovsky.

It's not fair they only gave Antonin Klatovsky the first reserve spot, and then included Weber, Jarf and Stellingwerf which all three scored a lower result then the Czech rider. But I think that Klabo will ride anyway in the first few GP's as I don't think that Koltakov will be ready.

The challenge in Sankt Johann is cancelled (third year in a row). The FIM will now determine the riders for this years GP series. Official press release should follow tomorrow I've been told.

Janne Vilponen will replace Tomi Tani.

Sankt Johann told me that after the weekend they will make the decision if the challenge can go ahead ....

I think they have to go down the 2014 standings to find a replacement for Makarov. FIM updated the Sankt Johann regulations, not sure what changed by they seem to believe that it will still go ahead I guess. Weather forcast looks so-so to me.

According to a diffrent Russian source it appears that the Russian federation believes they can replace Makarov for a other Russian rider because he can't ride (health problems). Surely this does not work this way IMO.

Russian federation is not amused that the Russian championship is not realy a qualifier for the Ice GP's anymore. FIM nominated Kononov and Makarov already for Sankt Johann (and Ivanov, Koltakov, Khomitsevich for the GP's). Real reason below Here's by the way the lineup for Stromsund: 1. The Russian federation nominated Sergey Karachintsev instead of Sergey Makarov for the Sankt Johann challenge.... wonder what will happen now as this is against FIM's rules

Supplementary regulations have been updated now that Stromsund has taken over from Hallstavik. Also a little change in the entries: SVEMO will take over one of the KNMV places (sadly).
