I'd like to think there is a way and should be explored. But as Kitten suggests, NDL worked previously for both clubs due to the reduced fixture list. Wednesdays is the only evening, with Thursdays used as a reserve, it would need another application to run on a Sunday or two nights per week. But only another planning application would seem to make it workable.

So sad, RIP our very own Mr Speedway.

Riss seems to struggle when the pressure is on. You only have to see his heat 15 away at Plymouth and I think both heat 13 and 15 at the championship match at Edinburgh, it's either a tape infringement or first bend collision.

Good effort by the five Brummies. Not sure I agree with Eric's warning, the replay didn't show anything unusual. I think Paco could have made the difference tonight. Good meeting though and some decent racing by both sets of riders.

I bet the person who bought that house was told by the sales person, the speedway is finishing. I think if complaints raise their ugly head the council need to tell the owners to take it up the complaint with the house builder. Then tell the owners the truth.

Yes he has, although against Newcastle (Wednesday) all seven clicked for once. Would have been good to see a fired up seven Brummie regulars. Drew is a good choice but doesn’t carry Paco’s passion.

Perhaps all riders compete under the pseudonym “Dave”. That would give a name for the announcer to read out pre-race. AND ..... yes AND...... imagine the suspense as everyone waits for the heat 15 nominated heat!

I would though insist on a BSPL recognised promotion team with a decent track record before any cash is put forward by fans. We did a big collection when the Phillips promotion closed Birmingham. £10k was pledged to continue the following year. Unsurprisingly you get some scrupulous people come forward, we at Birmingham even had the Phillips family once again come forward!
