  1. I think the bottom line is with 'season tickets' it isn't a one. A season ticket covers the whole season, this does not if we go further in the KO or reach the play off finals. I will be getting one as it works out cheaper but I do wish it was for every match. I hope the club get a good uptake, I think that will give them an idea of support for the championship compared to last years sale.
  2. He would still be available on a 4.00 at present unless he has any British relations.
  3. I think that number 4 slot is proving a slight issue. Unless anything major happens over the next couple of days don’t expect any team news until January.
  4. I would say if Bjerre did want to come he would be a steal on that average, but like you say rumours suggest he does not want to do UK in 2020. The issue is if we go with a 5.00 it leaves us with 3.97 for the final rider, short of the 4.00 we need to attract another Aussie over. So for me I would go with a 5.50-6.00 point rider and fill the final place with a young English rider coming up through. What's JPB doing now?
  5. We have a very good team so far, the final 2 pieces of the jigsaw will be massive and show our intent. I know people keep saying our 3 heat leaders will be good for 30-35 points a match but we cant always rely on that. Poor form and mechanical issues and we will need the back up riders to step up. I'm hoping for a couple of new comers to the UK. The reason for this is the whole team so far aren't our assets (I know we have plenty out on loan) but it will be nice to use the opportunity while in the championship to bring in some new comers and bring them on when we step back up to the Premiership. Personally I'm hoping we don't go with Todd Kurtz or Grondel both riders have in my opinion peaked over the past 5 years and sit around the 5 point average each year, hence my reason to bring someone in who could put a point or two on their starting average. The latter I know had a bad injury but his form this year was poor and his Aussie meetings have not been any better.
  6. No sadly not, I have spoken to him as was keen to sponsor the rider if he came to Poole. Maybe another Dane is a better option
  7. I’m not so sure on that with what I have heard this morning!
  8. So with Ellis 7.80 and likely another 4.00 point Aussie, that leaves 4.96 for the final rider.
  9. that's possible 'homes' not houses so they will be a large complex of flats with say 10 houses could be a possibility.
  10. From the Swindon Advertiser regarding Adam Ellis. ‘He will also ride in the Championship – Britain’s second tier - where Poole Pirates are understandably keen to attract Ellis to Wimborne Road’
  11. No, if it all comes together he will be a great addition to the team. Couple of bits to sort but it will be down to the club to announce him once everything is in place.
  12. Think that young Dane is looking very likely after talking to him Nicolai gave Matt his number and said he would be a good addition to the team. Great to see Nic helping Poole attract these riders.
  13. Ellis Perks to be announced soon! Expect it to be confirmed In the next 24 hours.
  14. Would be a good option! Havvy is a Poole legend! The third heat leader option sounds promising if it comes off!
  15. Giovanni Manzares for 'Przegląd Sportowy', the main sport daily newspaper in Poland: 'I'm going to spend a month in Europe, riding for Team Småland in Sweden and Poole Pirates and Ipswich Witches in Great Britain. In 2021 I want to go back to racing full-time in Europe.' (The photo: https://m.sportowefakty.wp.pl/; by Jarosław Pabijan) interesting!
  16. Won’t change! I remember this topic coming from Poole for so many years and it fell on deaf ears. Mainly the time we had Darcy & Chris!
  17. When will this article be in the star Phil?
