Cardiff Gp2010 Start Time ?

Just gone through the ticket booking process and this is what it says: 2010 FIM BRITISH SPEEDWAY GRAND PRIX at Millennium Stadium, Cardiff on SAT, 10/07/2010. Start time TBC. Hmmm - curiouser and curiouser!!!! -
Spoke to Hubby about this (he works at Brum Airport) and he says - God knows, Ryan air change their routes all the bloody time at the moment!!!! Gone are the days when he could (sadly) look at a plane in the sky and tell me, airline and route and sometimes even crew!!!!!
-
Ian Just a little warning, which you must count to 10 about BUT I came on thinking this was something to do with Speedway Years Gone By! Be ready for it to be moved for GENERAL SECTION (non speedway). Im sure it wont be personal but it may reach a wider audience. Now - breathe 2,3,4.

Taken from the page above - Lettish, Czechs and Germans. Who is Lettish - Latvia maybe?? Also this suprises me as I thought the draw was being made early December!! So who does that leave in the Italy round if Norway are now added? We are planning on following the USA in the early round (I love the underdogs!) but didnt think we could plan our trip yet. Anyone got any info that would help. Thanks EDIT - found it. But we are sure it was supposed to be announced 4th December. But we now know we are going to Lonigo and will be against - Slovenia, Finland and Italy.

I would love to and be prepared one year I will turn up on our doorstep. I miss you lots and lots. xxxxxxxxx

Absolutely Dave. But I thought I would focus on your Countries Titles rather than the qualifying! This time its shoulder blade, collar bone and ribs! You would think he would learn by now that it hurts if you come off your bike! And only South I will be going to is Southampton Dave - sorry. And your right its so bloomin cold here- it was down to 17.3c today. Freezing!!!!

Rory will be riding but I doubt he will be fit enough this year to be honest. After yet another horrid crach last week he really should give his body time to heal. But unfortunately if your Australian and want to strive to be Aussie champion then you have to ride in the ' closed season'. Should be a very competitive field this year so it will need some strong hard riding.

Really Jenn? Whoever passed this information on to you up there in Manchester must have been at a different meeting to me! Ed asked NOT be to questioned on the GP leak as he was not going to discuss it. And I am sure he didnt break away from that agreement. It would seem that someone is stirring it!!!
-
Oh my god - Im 99% in agreement with Shovlar. I wouldnt be as negative about Scott and Bomber but the rest is an excellent post. Have you seen his sponsors for 2010? Whilst this is not official it is true that Ed's name has been put up there and if he does get the pick then BSI/IMG have put forward their long term plan. Instead of drip feeding youngsters into the GP's one a year they appear to have gone with a new batch of younger riders who, if they perform well could continue and grow over future GP's. I dont think I would have put Ed's name in the frame for 2010 but having thought about it for a while I am really looking forward to the series next year and planning on travelling to a few extra GP's. As a Brit supporting Brits Im happy and with a good team (family and friends) behind Ed I think he will do well on the track and in front of the camera which is which BSI are after. Oh and Tai - if he says he is in the right frame of mind for 2010 then he has my Union Jack waving for him and well.

Torun Get Gp From 2010
Sandie replied to racers and royals's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
as much as I want a Torun GP and we all knew this was likely to happen I really cannot see how it is fair to have 3 GP's in Poland!!! -
Agreed! I was beginning to think that I had attended a different meeting completely to that shown on TV but pleased a few have said it was a good meeting. Because from where we were sat it is probably the best GP we have attended this year and probably one of the best for quite some time. Gemini - yes it was watered every 4 laps but unlike a dark track the water never changed the colour of the 'shale' at all. Spoke to a couple of mechanics before the meeting and they seemed to be looking forward to it as it posed challenges for them as it was a leap into the dark. Yes it was dusty but 'live' it seemed to settle quickly and didnt linger in the air quite so much. Numbers were definately low - certainly not the 4 thousand as suggested but a good atmosphere. The stadium was very smart and clean. Google earth showed a track an a small stand. Well lots of work since then. Lots of temporary stands but also lots of work in the pits area. Downside was the slow service in the food / drinks outlets - they really werent sure what they were doing at the start of the evening!! So, as a weekend away, good hotel, WONDERFUL weather, lovely beach and a GP that made the whole trip very enjoyable and I would definately consider doing the trip again.

thank you

-

Grand Prix Challenge.
Sandie replied to a4poster's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
We all safrican americaned at the images of Terry (Mr Security) taking on that Pole. If you know Polish speedway you would know that the Pole would have been surrounded by Men in Balck if he was back home - but in in Blighty we have 'Terry'!!!! -
Which Brit Should Get A Wild Card?
Sandie replied to Steve Shovlar's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
My personal feeling - Whilst it would be wonderful for Tai's dad to know his son ha made it into the GP's I do feel that Tai should focus on the British League and his family at present. 2011 should be Tai's year but I think emotionally 2010 may be to great a pressure for such a young man. -

Just been told that it is a Chris Harris Track!!!! and then some!! Went past the stadium about 30 minutes ago and its still very quiet BUT for the first time in a long time the local farmers are opening up their fields for parking. They are obviously expecting a big crowd considering the size of main car park. Set off early by the looks of it - despite the cost! -

Think you mean the controversial ones!! But not sure how many will be there, as the two main protagonists - SCB & SB will be at Somerset. We wont be at Somerset now but still undecided about Friday and will probably only decide Thursday night / Friday morning! So PirateAndi - it looks like Gemini will need to keep you company on bend 4!!
