  1. If I was signing riders I would continue to pursue Jake Allen , his australian results have been very good and he just seems to have something about him. Chopper
  2. Lol I seriously doubt a 3 something rider is going to be walking in demanding big dollars. Chopper
  3. [quote) 6. Rob Branford 3.40 (Or a new rider, doubt Rob would ride for us) Not sure about that certainly a track he goes we'll on. Chopper
  4. I see it as having a positive affect , you have added a quality rider to the NL , if he's eligable no problems. Robert wouldn't have been able to ride for Rye without flying , and I think it was actually cheaper to fly than pay mileage. I was a bit sceptical it would work but he only missed one meeting that he could have ridden and that was more because he had to drive to bring his bikes home as he had a meeting the next day, it took some organising at times and he relied on pick up and drop offs at airports but it seemed to work. Chopper
  5. We'll done to young Ben, I for one hope that he kicks on next year and can get a PL spot at a track he likes , and I can't see why that wouldn't be Rye. Chopper
  6. Big well done to Kent, fair to say Rob was fairly gutted but like i keep saying thats speedway all over, atleast he got that go kart trophy he could never win.lol. Chopper
  7. Certainly makes it hard on the riders Andrew and Mia have become good friends of Roberts picking him up and dropping him at the airport , he has had a mechanic , and has enjoyed the team spirit. Chopper
  8. Told you before John, dont bother with updates, Spinny is the most biased bloke i know, lol. Chopper
  9. So does Robert but who really cares , its been done to death, hes commited to UK . Chopper
  10. True I'm afraid , he will need his cartlidge repaired again and his shoulders not 100 percent and he ran over his own foot on Sunday just to make it a threesome but no excuses from him , he's going to battle through it and doesn't have a day off until next Tuesday , like he says I'm over here to race and he's a tough bugger. Chopper
  11. As far as we are aware there is no reason Robert cant do all leagues, initially he asked not to be on the list as he felt his priority needed to be to establish himself in the premier league and had agreed to ride for Edinburgh. He than asked to be placed on the reserves list earlier in the season , and has since asked to be included on the list as a permanent replacement if a position came up.As he has never had a PL average over 4, hes ok which i think stops others riders. Chopper
  12. Sounds like heat 13 was a great race , i would be interested to see a video of it if one pops up anywhere. Chopper
  13. Sounds like a good close meeting, Robert enjoyed the track. Part of Roberts text this morning was, track was sweet , nice and grippy. Obviously he and guys like Ben have a lot more experience , will do the other riders good for the future. What were the race times like. Chopper
  14. All good Banter on here from the supporters. On a serious safety note the reason Robert returning to the pits was because he noticed his fuel cap was missing. Surely there has to be give and take in the rule as to ride without a cap is a serious safety issue with fuel splashing over everything including the rider. Was there not a clerk of the course that could have relayed this to the referee. Chopper
  15. Not good for Luke hopefully hes not out too long. Chopper
  16. The team kevlars are going to look good. Chopper
  17. Cant remember ever seeing him , who has he ridden for.
  18. Would be good if all teams could have them
  19. I was more talking about some of the riders that were stopped this year because of PL averages , I know Adam Ellis was one , if you look back to 2010 when the league was a strong comp there was a good mix of new youngsters , one over 35 I think and some experienced riders , and the meetings that I watched were first class. Chopper
  20. Great news, hopefully they can recieve the support needed to survive and prosper. While i know its a development league do some rules need to be changed to allow some top end riders back into the league or some new riders to come in , the stand alone clubs need to put out a decent product to attract and rettain supporters, Just putting it out there for debate, the top riders still mainly race each other while the reserves still have races against each other maybe like last years EL. Chopper
  21. Would be a massive shame to see the Heathens disappear again, great support for there team. Problem with being in a NL , team as opposed to amatuer racing, develpment league, is the time off work etc, especially if there were over 10 teams. You nearly need to be a semi proffesional racer if you get my meaning. Chopper
  22. Good luck with that I always enjoyed out trips over to the island. Chopper
  23. Any word on if Isle of Wight will be back in the national league next season. Chopper
