  1. I think you mean Saturday for the Polish meeting, while the Coventry meeting is on Monday.
  2. The Coventry coverage could start an hour later, due to time zones (7:00pm in the UK and 8:00pm in Europe).
  3. I'd guess about the same time as for the GPs, which means around twenty minutes after the programme starts.
  4. I think ultimately they proved too expensive because a major sponsor didn't deliver on what was promised to Hamill.
  5. Lakeside's Lubos Tomicek appears to have been handed the "Wild Card" nomination for the Prague Grand Prix in August, while Filip Sitera and Berwick's Adrian Rymel will be the "Track Reserves": http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/07/...ta-dla-tomicka/
  6. It appears that Roman Povazhny has suffered a fractured leg and has been ruled out of riding in the SWC event in Leszno - Danil Ivanov will replace him in the line-up: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/zuzel/2008/07/...zentacji-rosji/ Here's hoping the young fellow makes a swift and full recovery.
  7. Surely sheer stupidity from the Blacksmiths to go with Schlein?
  8. You can't have Rider Replacement in the SWC, youngster. Anyway, I'm obviously the Holta in the team - a Mongol in the Great Britain team.
  9. Looking for sponsors, if anyone's interested. Anyway, looking at that Polish team I'm just not so sure. Rune Holta's form at the minute is fairly dreadful. He was recently dropped by Elit Vetlanda in Sweden and he only scored 3 points in the Ekstraliga meeting at Leszno yesterday. And Krzysztof Kasprzak's form this season really hasn't been good at all. They'll have to be on top of their game if they want to get straight through to the final, as Australia are very strong.
  10. From last year's SWC event at Brandon: Sweden..49 1..F Lindgren..1,2,3,1,2,3 = 12 2..P Karlsson..3,1,0,3,2 = 9 3..A Lindback..2,0,W = 2 4..M.Max..2,1,2,2,1 = 8 5..J Davidsson..2,3,6,3,2 = 16 R..M Karlsson..0,2 = 2
  11. But surely the GPs are the "ultimate goal"?
  12. Okay, if he did want to partake in the qualifiers, why didn't he ride in the Australian qualifiers?
  13. I'd expect much support for home favourite Grzegorz Walasek, while Lee Richardson was once a favourite of the Falubaz crowd.
  14. No, I think only Franchetti was involved - Wolbert and Ljung are mentioned due to a pass earlier in the race. From "poltran": They were changed with (from) during one encirclement places twice Ljung Wolbertem. Which I'd assume means that on the first lap (encirclement) Ljung and Wolbert swapped places twice.
  15. Looks like a bad crash involving Guglielmo Franchetti has held the meeting up.
  16. Yes: http://www.livespeedway.pl/race_detail.php?id=318 It looks like going passed midnight in Italy, but Richardson is through okay. And he's an ex-Zielona Gora rider, so who knows?
  17. I agree that is a probability, although it does contradict your previous statement. I don't agree with the system, which is deeply flawed.
  18. Last time I checked, he'd had SIXTY-TWO bites of the cherry, said the old Mongol as he eats his "cool cherry" Tic Tacs.
  19. Then why aren't "selected permanent wildcards" Fredrik Lindgren and Krzysztof Kasprzak higher in the order than Lukas Dryml?
  20. Which isn't a particularly good method, given that the numbers are not necessarily allocated fairly. For example, Messrs Jonsson and Harris are allocated lower numbers than Lukas Dryml, who actually qualified for the GPs, whereas Jonsson and Harris were nominated.
  21. If all things are equal, I believe it comes down to race jacket number.
  22. I don't think he's the type to do that, to be honest.
  23. The thing is, neither Schlein nor Watt initially entered the GP qualification process. And maybe Coventry's fixtures were decided on that basis. Watt maybe decided to honour his Poole contract, while Schlein decided to chase personal glory, although it ended up in humiliating ignomy. Still, Richardson doing very nicely in Italy. And Zielona Gora is a track he knows very well.
  24. No, but the likes of unSteady just embarrass themselves and their nation by even entering.
