  1. No, I was referring to frigbo, that's why I quoted his post.
  2. What sort of nonsense is that? The speedway tonight was generally good from the Danes, Swedes and even the Czechs. The Poles, Russians and Australians were excellent value on Saturday.
  3. But this isn't just about riding, it's also about management. And, frankly, I doubt you could've done a worse job than Lynch tonight. The global superstar is a bad captain, for a start. He's okay when things are going well, but not when things are going wrong. He loses the plot and starts charging around and blaming everyone and everything. The Joker was played at the wrong time and on the wrong rider.
  4. And the entitlement culture strikes again. Respect is earned.
  5. And isn't it so unfair that the other teams had riders better prepared, had better machinery (even the PL riders, such as Rymel and Nermark) and rode better, even though all the British riders were supposedly track experts.
  6. But Middlo has to keep everyone sweet, otherwise he might not be invited into the global superstar's pit area at the next GP.
  7. Oh Middlo, that's just like your management of Great Britain - inept.
  8. But we'll never rebuild while this entitlement culture exists. We have a right to two British riders in the GPs. That's nonsense. Make the riders work for things, not hand them it on a silver platter with all the trimmings.
  9. Oh dear, a sure sign of a lost argument when that's all you have to come back with. And you seem to confuse justified criticism of a shameful performance with "slagging off the sport". I thought tonight's meeting was decent enough. But Britain's performance was shameful in the extreme. Might I remind you that Great Britain produced just a single heat winner tonight. Hang on, no, you're the man who justified 15 points in last season's final. You'll justify anything.
  10. Here you go: http://www.speedwayworld.tv/en/news/a7093?...db6728363ea5e65
  11. Well, I would never in a million years have picked unSteady.
  12. Because it is. "If you haven't ridden or managed you don't know what it it's like," is always a pathetic and almost contemptuous argument.
  13. Oh no, you're going to upset drop a cog writing things like that.
  14. Yes, Tomasz Gollob, who is technically gifted enough to team ride with certain opponents to further his own team's chances.
  15. One of the great wasted talents. Got it together, had one great season and was then injured and finished. He could've been a great rider. But he waited too long before he realised it and the chance was gone. He was content to be a joke for most of his career. But, in the end, the joke was on him, sadly.
  16. Polish averages of the British team: Ekstraliga L Richardson..6.95 S Nicholls..6.78 Liga I C Harris..9.16 O Allen..6.74 S Stead..4.27
  17. But most people knew Lynch was even worse than Middlo - for heaven's sake Lynch allowed Trevor Swales to outwit him in the Elite League final a couple of years ago. It was a given that he'd be even worse than Middlo.
  18. Can't be done, I'm afraid. Unless you want Allen and Stead to remain (and, to be honest, Allen did at least show something). Lynch's squad now consists of seven riders - tonight's five and Kennett and Woffinden.
  19. But the global superstar exemplifies the "entitlement culture". He believes he has a God-given right to be in the GPs. He probably thinks he has a God-given right to win one and curses the Almighty after every GP for denying him his right. It's Ljung's fault that he ended up in the fence. It's the right of the global superstar to put his not inconsiderable bulk around on the track. How dare the referee (who was excellent, by the way) exclude him? It's all just so unfair. Everyone conspiring to deny him his right.
  20. But here's where the British get it all wrong. It's that entitlement thing. They believe they're entitled to things. If the Danish manager or Swedish manager had said that he was going to drop a couple of riders for the latter stages, the riders in question would probably have rode like their lives depended on it to prove a point. The British riders sulk and go into their shells.
  21. Still thumping the tub for unSteady? Only in a weird parallel universe would unSteady have scored 12 points. Quite possibly the most over-hyped rider of all time. And don't suggest it's hindsight from me: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...55&hl=stead
  22. And two Premier League riders outscored the global superstar. As for unSteady; tee hee Mrs Miggins, tee hee.
  23. Very well. Top-scored for the Czech Republic with 6 points and was their only heat winner. To put that into context, Great Britain only had one heat winner.
