  1. They are now: http://www.speedwayworld.tv/en/news/a9241
  2. Excellent, you've just confirmed that it is, indeed, the native tongue of Sussex - have you been cuckolded by Bobby D?
  3. It looks like the draw for helmet colours is as follows: Red - Denmark Blue - Australia White - Sweden Yellow - Poland
  4. No, I believe it's the native tongue in Sussex, or haven't you heard Bobby D?
  5. What Woffinden really shows is the advantage of an Australian upbringing.
  6. Why? Lakeside drop him and some other promotion would pick him up in desperation. How many clubs has Jonas Davidsson been released by? And he always finds someone willing to pick him up. Actually, he seems to be doing well for Lakeside. Perhaps other British promotions should wonder why that is.
  7. But Ljung and Davidsson have always performed well for their Swedish clubs. Riders shouldn't be judged on performances in a league that seems to be regarded as second rate by riders.
  8. No, of course they don't. Only British speedway counts. The other stuff is just Mickey Mouse. And that's why the sport in this country is on it's knees. Too many people think Britain is still the be all and end all. They're like the old imperialists who failed to understand that Britain was no longer such a big deal on the global stage after World War II.
  9. What you have to understand, young Anders, is that the chauvinists among British speedway supporters just dismiss riders they don't really know. So they're constantly left frothing at the mouth when the likes of Ljung and Jagus perform well against their home-grown super-heroes like the global superstar.
  10. Why? Are you a pregnant woman? Things will be really dire if James Wright makes the SWC team - he's unSteady lite.
  11. All of which, once again, proves your ignorance. Poland finished second to Denmark in last season's SWC event at Vojens. And that was an event that included Australia.
  12. He was excellent. But it was irritating to see Lynch claiming his decision to include him had been vindicated. Most of the rest of the speedway fraternity in this country were surely asking themselves why he hadn't been picked for Coventry.
  13. Only because the competition wasn't quite so hot. If the Danes had been there instead of Poland, I think they'd have been just as dismal as Monday.
  14. Poor management from Lynch again. Under-estimated Jagus and Davidsson, while over-estimating the global superstar, in Ht 15. The global superstar always fails to deliver when on a Joker ride in the SWC. And playing it on a programmed ride means that rider (whom you clearly think is worthy) can't take a tactical substitute ride.
  15. Well, Gregorij Laguta might end up a Latvian one of these days. But keep an eye out for another Russian wonderkid called Artiom Vodjakov - he's just sixteen-years-old and in the same mould as Sajfutdinov (18-years-old) and Artiom Laguta (17-years-old).
  16. That was comical - "Laguta came in too fast". Nonsense. Richardson was riding like a decrepit old woman. Laguta and Woffinden the stars of the night for me. Fantastic from both of them.
  17. Why did it take Kelvin Tatum MBE about twenty minutes to decide that the global superstar had shoved Ljung off on Monday night and about two seconds to decide that Laguta had knocked off Richardson tonight. Shameful, shameful commentary from Tatum. Laguta was pushing hard and racing, while Richardson was riding like an old maid. In fact, that is unfair to old maids.
  18. But that twelve man squad had to be whittled down to seven for the actual event. Poland - hardly a nation pressed for depth of talent when it comes to speedway - only named a six man squad for the event, Britain named seven.
  19. But the FIM only allows a certain number of riders for the squad. And the Russians also named Artiom Laguta, who had visa problems on Saturday. The FIM really should be arranging and organising visas to ensure that all competitors are there. Can you imagine a team turning up for the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland, only to discover a couple of players were stopped due to visa issues? The Russians sorted out visas in double-quick time for the Champions League final in May. All rather a shambles, really.
  20. You would have to think so. It was still worth selecting Sajfutdinov, since teams making the play-offs don't have to qualify for 2009.
  21. That's a great point. The first action of the Great Britain manager should be to slap a socialising ban on the riders ahead of SWC meetings. I said after last season's debacle in Leszno that it wouldn't surprise me if the night before the final the British were out having a few jars and enjoying Poznan, while the Poles were either burning the midnight oil getting their bikes sorted or tucked up in bed.
  22. And it needed answering, especially since only one of the Poles has British form - four of them don't ride in Britain and two of those four have never ridden in Britain (except for GPs).
