  1. You have to scroll down to find what's happening and refresh every so often.
  2. PK, Jagus and Andersen unbeaten after two races each. Andersen and Jagus meet in Ht 10.
  3. Jagus looking very good - just blasted Rune Holta away in his second heat. Edit: Jagus almost 3 seconds faster in Ht 5 than Andersen in Ht 4 - some serious track work done between those heats, I imagine, or is Jagus that fast?
  4. Why ruin the splendid SWC - easily a more satisfying competition than the GPs - by staging it on Cardiff's abortion of a track?
  5. I heard a rumour that Vincent Vega is in negotiations to take over BSI - you young ladies still willing to, er, negotiate over Loram's inclusion in 2007?
  6. Just as well you're not the referee then. Six days is a long time to wait for the re-run to take place.
  7. Wasn't there talk of a German grand prix a couple of years ago? I'd guess either Russia or Germany. Or maybe the Pavlic millions will lure BSI to Croatia?
  8. I'll go with: Hans Andersen Wieslaw Jagus Piotr Protasiewicz
  9. Anyway, however you pronounce it, it's probably nothing like how Tony Millard pronounces it - although Millard's pronunciations are liable to change during the course of a meeting, so he might get it right once or twice.
  10. I guess Jacek Rempala will be thrilled to be classed among the "younger generation" - there can only be a year or so difference in age between him and Tomasz Gollob.
  11. But he didn't win a single GP during the year he became world champion.
  12. So, after his acrimonious departure from Czestochowa, could Rune Holta be heading for an inelegant departure from Rzeszow? It looks very much like he's offended Rzeszow's chairperson Marta Poltorak: http://www.speedwayworld.tv/en/news/a6673
  13. How about this for a slight surprise - one of young Gollob's defeats came at the hands of Berwick's Jacek Rempala.
  14. And Tomasz Gollob remains Poland's best rider after claiming his seventh Polish individual crown in Tarnow last evening. Gollob finished on 13 points, one point ahead of Torun's Wieslaw Jagus who finished second. Sebastian Ulamek was third and Jaroslaw Hampel fourth. Wieslaw Jagus, of course, rides in the GP qualifying final in Vetlanda this weekend and with his sparkling form this season, few would bet against him upsetting BSI's applecart by getting into their circus.
  15. Well, after the storming success of my last effort - I asked who'd be Sweden's next GP winner and up Andreas Jonsson popped to win the following GP - I thought I'd be a generous Mongol and ask who'll be Britain's next GP winner? And Britain has waited an awful long time - the last British triumph was that of Martin Dugard way back in 2000, I think. But Britain still has an active GP winner in Mark Loram - realistically, however, Loram isn't likely to add to his two wins. Can Scott Nicholls throw his bulk around sufficiently to win, or will Crump and Co always be too good come semi-final or, occasionally, final time? Will it be Stead or Harris the two great white hopes of the present, or will Britain have to wait for Bridger, Auty and Branney (I've got to keep Auntie Sue happy, she's after my blood) to do the business? Now, don't forget to thank me when Lee Richardson triumphs in Prague.
  16. But has there ever been such a rule? After all, neither Nicki P nor Hancock were excluded after their coming together, exiting the 2nd turn, in Prague a couple of years ago?
  17. The trouble is, you may think Gollob is passed it, but he keeps qualifying. Anyway, the coming GP season (I think well ahead) should be interesting - the first season without TR.
  18. Good word - I like it and I'm going to try and use it more often in conversation and here. I pronounce "invective" my word of the week.

  20. But would it have been? Or would Andersen, gifted a permanent wild card, have been the also-ran he was in 2005? It looks like being left out of the GPs at the start of the season has done Andersen the power of good.
  21. Awful news - here's hoping that both Jonsson and Hampel are okay.
  22. Looks very much as if Andreas Jonsson has been taken to hospital following a clash with Jaroslaw Hampel in Poland today - here's hoping the fellow is okay.
  23. And there was poor old Subedei thinking you'd lost all respect for Nicholls earlier: http://www.speedway-forum.co.uk/forums/ind...opic=27756&st=0 I guess there must have been a residue of respect left for you to lose after this one.
