  1. Aggravation is my middle name. I'm Subedei Aggra'vation Bat'Atur. Edit: And, to answer Tabby3, I was looking for something specific and expanded a little. It didn't take long.
  2. You could always read my G P Winners, Facts and Figures thread Robyn1972.
  3. What's happening with Marek Karwan, the unpopular president of Torun and uber-boss of Polish speedway? With Marcin Rempala and Janusz Kolodziej moving into the "main" part of the Unia Tarnow team for 2006, wasn't it always likely that the Gollobs would be on the move? I guess TG's place in the team would be assured, but Jacek would probably have had to settle for a Burza-Wardzala role. Can't see the Gollobs settling for that.
  4. 1..There have been 79 GPs since the circus started in 1995. 2..And 15 riders from 6 nations have won GPs in that time. 3..The first GP was won by Tomasz Gollob. 4..And yes, it was in Poland. 5..But not all TG’s wins have come in his homeland. 6..He’s also won in Sweden (1997), the Czech Republic (1999) and Germany (2001). 7..He’s won 10 GPs in all. 8..Only two riders can better that and they’re Tony Rickardsson (20) and Jason Crump (12). 9..No other Pole has won a GP. 10..Tony Rickardsson’s 20 victories mean that he’s won over a quarter of all the GPs. 11..No other Swede has won a GP. 12..Denmark has produced the most different winners with 6. 13..And they are Hans Nielsen, Tommy Knudsen, Brian Andersen, Nicki Pedersen, Bjarne Pedersen and Hans Andersen. 14..They’ve won 14 GPs between them. 15..That’s 6 less than TR’s won on his own. 16..But 11 more than Britain has managed. 17..Which means that Britain has won 3 GPs. 18..That’s less than 4% of the GPs being won by British riders. 19..The last British win was in 2000. 20..That was Martin Dugard winning the 2000 British GP. 21..And 45 GPs have come and gone since then. 22..Mark Loram is the only British multiple GP winner. 23..He’s also the only rider to have become world champion without winning a GP during the season he became champ. 24..Scott Nicholls has never won a GP. 25..His last GP final was at Sweden in 2003. 26..That was 21 GPs ago. 27..Lee Richardson has never won a GP. 28..But since his last GP final was at Poland in 2005, only one GP has passed since. 29..Three Australian riders have won GPs and all of them multiple winners. 30..They are Jason Crump (12), Ryan Sullivan (4) and Leigh Adams (3). 31..That’s 19 GP wins between them, still 1 GP win behind Tony Rickardsson. 32..TR is one of only 2 riders to have competed in all 79 GPs. 33..The other is Greg Hancock of the United States. 34..Greg Hancock has won 7 of his 79 GPs. 35..His partner in H & H, Billy Hamill, won 6 GPs before voluntarily leaving the circus. 36..Which means the United States has won 13 GPs. 37..Jason Crump has competed in just 62 GPs and, as mentioned, has won 12 of them. 38..That means he’s won 19% of the GPs he’s entered against TR’s 25%. 39..But at the start of the 2005 season TR’s wins “ratio” was 20%, while JC’s was still 19%. 40..Further illustration of TR’s complete domination of the 2005 series.
  5. Lindback made at least two finals, Nicholls didn't make ANY. Not a single one. None. Lindback qualified for the 2005 series, Nicholls didn't. Relied on being British and the charity of BSI and the FIM to get in. Same again for 2006. How many more chances to fail is Nicholls going to get? And, if you'd read my posts, you'd realise it's two failures and you're out. Lindback's had one failure, so he gets another chance. Maybe Chrzanowski deserves another go as well. After all, he was only marginally worse that Richardson. And Lindback is far from being one of my favourite riders.
  6. And here's some photographs (including one showing the "Polonia Bydgoszcz Net F@ns" banner) from the weekend's big meeting: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/index.php?dysc...5&news_id=84107
  7. TG had a pretty good night at Vetlanda. But BP was clearly the star of the show in both meetings. But I get the impression Gollob is an important "presence" in the teams he rides for.
  8. Anyway, it was a bit "off" for VMS Elit to bring Crump and Dryml out as tactical substitutes in the second reserves race (Ht 11). Hardly seems very fair really.
  9. All details from: http://www.speedway.nu With a little help from Mattinho at Live Updates. And the crowd was?
  10. Good point. Edit: Anyway, like Tomasz Gollob I don't drink alcohol, so I'll not be invited to the Bydgoszcz get-together either.
  11. Has Tomasz Gollob EVER finished outside the automatic qualification places? The minute he does, he gets a chance and if he fails again you can be sure that I'll stand by my process and demand his exclusion.
  12. Well, they'll certainly give everyone in Poland, Sweden and Denmark a good laugh.
  13. I didn't forget, I just didn't know. But I do now. That's a very healthy crowd figure.

  15. I'm posting them at Live Updates BritPete. But if you prefer the real deal Swedish style, follow these steps: 1..Go to http://www.speedway.nu 2..Click on Elitserien 2005 3..Click on Finaler 4..Click on the score in the VMS Elit vs Vastervik meeting 5..Click on the score in the VMS Elit vs Vastervik on this page as well. 6..You're there, or you should be. Vastervik leading 17-19 at the minute.
  16. Guess that means Tomek's not getting an invitation to the next forum get-together for the Bydgoszcz GP. I understand drinking alcohol is mandatory.
  17. He's still riding for you Mateusz. He isn't for Coventry.
  18. Sounds like the sort of things Coventry fans (some of them anyway) would have you believe Jonsson thinks of them as well.
  19. Well, just about any British rider could finish 14th out of 15 at the end of the day. So, if the aim is to finish 14th out of 15, why not give Harris or Stead a go. They could finish 14th out of 15 just as easily as Richardson. Edit: Hell, I could probably finish 14th out of 15. And if I'd the right sponsorship package for BSI, I'd probably be given a chance.
  20. I'd like to see an early season challenge between the Ekstra Liga and Elite League champions over two legs (easier than a Elite League-Elitserien, since there's less of a cross-over with riders). It'd be a huge draw in the UK, although I'm not sure about how it would be received in Poland. Just imagine, this season it would've been Poole versus Tarnow: Poole (BP, Sullivan, Lindback, Ferjan, Kasprzak, Morton, Kennett/Ashworth) Tarnow (TR, the brothers Gollob, Rempalas G and M, Kolodziej and Burza/Wardzala) It would've been fantastic. Edit: Yes, I know, Unia Tarnow would've won easily. But we'd have seen Tomasz Gollob riding on a proper track in this country again. Poole would've been packed to the rafters for it, I'm sure.
  21. BP also won a GP in 2004, which would justify an exemption from my rule. Was the qualification for 2004 not the top 10 from 2003? Also, of course, the assembled field was much larger for 2004. It's down to just 16 riders now. You can afford to be more lenient when the field is larger. You see, proof of the merits of my system. Under it Nicki P wouldn't have been world champ in 2003. However, you fail to comprehend that my "system" is simply because there is no qualification process open to riders outside the circus. Thus, you have to determine a way of rooting out the weeds in the field.
  22. Okay. Well, I think your friend Marta looks very nice indeed.
