  1. And not just your own points either. You lost the 25 I gave you.
  2. I knew all I had to do was keep faith with TG and collect enough points for a big punt on him at Bydgoszcz. I'm amazed there are people out there who didn't stick credits on him. Dear me, I didn't realise cornishman had dropped that far. Like a few, he went to the TR well once to often and found it dry, I suppose.
  3. And Gollob does remain disciplined on the first bends of both the semi and final and wanders off with an amazing fourth Bydgoszcz GP in a row. But what a super show from Richardson. As SCB rightly notes, everyone goes crazy for Nicholls, but in the semis he always fluffs it and goes out. Richardson made it to the final and scored a super second place.
  4. And Gollob goes a wandering on the first bend of Ht 20. He can't afford to do that in the semis. He's got first pick for gates and he's got to be disciplined on the first bend, or he'll be toast.
  5. And Nicholls loses out in the first bend again. He'll be lucky to make the semis.
  6. And TR looks interested again. Had time to gather his thoughts and is back charging. A fantastic ride from Gollob to win Ht 13 from gate 3. I thought Jonsson would take that one. Nicholls still hit and miss. Lindback miss and miss. Sullivan is pathetic.
  7. And you still sometimes wonder where Gollob's wandering off to on those first bends. Another wonderful ride by the great man, even if he couldn't catch Adams. What's wrong with Lindback tonight? Richardson beats Jonsson, now that, in my view, is a shock. I don't think Rickardsson's too interested now. And why should he be?
  8. Congratulations to TR on his 6th world title. But what a fantastic overtake of Nicki P by Tomasz Gollob. Outstanding.
  9. Did Sky just have a caption of the current GP standings with an Antonio Lindeback in it?
  10. Well, TR and TG make the final and he'll be a hero. They don't and he'll be avoiding Whitehaven for a while.
  11. Since SCB usurped you. I told him he'd be dead if they didn't come off.
  12. Well, just about 30 minutes to go before the off. For inter-meeting chat why not try the Live Updates site at the following address: http://speedwayupdates.proboards60.com/ind...14364449&page=1 The GP section is not "members only" as far as posting goes. Guests are welcome to post as well. So you don't need to register and it saves bandwidth here.
  13. And here's a few photographs from yesterday's practice session: http://www.sportowefakty.pl/index.php?dysc...4&news_id=79422 Gollob on his Jawas tonight?
  14. I think it's got more to do with the Polish authorities. Presumably at some stage this week BSI and the FIM took control of the Bydgoszcz stadium and track, before that it was under the control of Polonia Bydgoszcz and the Polish authorities. And, if they wanted their riders to have a practice session, I doubt there's much anyone can do about it.
  15. Yes, I think we've been here before young Peasley.
  16. European floods: http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/4182758.stm
  17. In fact, 2004 was Gollob's first season away from Bydgoszcz, so he didn't ride there in the Ekstra Liga, except when Tarnow visited. I'd imagine that Gollob will have the final say on track preparation this time around as well, regardless of what Ole Olsen wants. And Tony Steele, the referee who favoured Gollob in decisions at least twice last season, will be in the hot seat again.
  18. And after Sunday's meetings, the top 10 in the Ekstra Liga averages are as follows (last recorded position and average in brackets): 1..(2)..T Gollob..Tarnow..9.84..(9.72) 2..(1)..R Sullivan..Czestochowa..9.71..(9.87) 2..(3)..N Pedersen..Zielona Gora..9.71..(9.65) 4..(5)..R Holta..Czestochowa..9.41..(9.40) 5..(8)..P Protasiewicz..Bydgoszcz..9.32..(9.19) 6..(6)..L Adams..Leszno..9.26..(9.26) 7..(4)..J Crump..Torun..9.21..(9.45) 7..(7)..T Rickardsson..Tarnow..9.21..(9.21) 9..(10)..G Walasek..Czestochowa..8.95..(8.85) 10..(9)..A Jonsson..Bydgoszcz..8.88..(8.95) It should be noted that Leigh Adams' Leszno side were knocked out of the play-offs last weekend and, as such, Leigh Adams' final average for the season is known. And as a little extra, here's a few averages that might be of interest to Elite League fans: 12..K Kasprzak..Leszno..8.50 14..G Hancock..Gdansk..7.92 16..H Andersen..Wroclaw..7.88 19..S Ulamek..Czestochowa..7.56 37..M Puszakowski..Torun..5.03 42..A Smith..Torun..4.72 And a few riders who haven't yet raced sufficient heats to get into the "main" average listings: B Pedersen..Gdansk..9.08 S Nicholls..Tarnow..9.00 L Richardson..Zielona Gora..7.04 R Miskowiak..Wroclaw..6.00 A Lindback..Wroclaw..4.36 And, remember, the fun and frollicks start again on 4 September, 2005, so why not join me at the Live Updates site and see if aTomek Gollob can lead Tarnow into the Ekstra Liga play-off final. All details, as ever, from: http://www.sportowefakty.pl
  19. With Leszno already eliminated from the play-offs, I guess Balinski was already free to ride in the UK. All he'll need is a new, non-Polish licence.
  20. It seems like a big fuss all round to me. The crash was certainly nasty, but Holta simply lost control and wiped out Kasprzak, rather than a deliberate action. The "follow up", while hardly being elegant and certainly being "out of order", doesn't seem as bad as you'd expected. A couple of half-hearted taps. Maybe the worst of it followed on from what is shown in this clip.
  21. There's a thing about avatars - race jackets - in "my controls".
  22. What on earth did Balinski and R Kasprzak do? It sounds like a very extreme penalty.
