No one has professed to say that it is 'an amazing track' and it is true it is not as good as before. However as far I can see more people like it than those who don't. Of course you are entitled to your view. However I think one of the great things about British speedway is the great variety of tracks sizes and shapes. I have visited many tracks up and down the country and there things to take from them all. Perhaps you could be a little more open minded ?

Surprisingly little comment about the outcome of the matches. In the Swindon match it might be a rare occasion where wolves have the advantage at reserve depending on whether Greaves can get the better of Perry. I think we will win, but it doesn't really matter, Swindon can use the match for play-off practice, if it ever comes to that. The Stars match, with respect, should be a very comfortable win.

Realism. We are not that good at the NSS. They have Tungate, a second string, who could score like a No 1. Most of the Aces go well at Monmore, only maybe Tungate who doesn't. We will see anyway if this is the draw. As you well know teams vary wildly from prior years, last year is gone and now has no relevance.

I think most sensible speedway fans will agree with that. For me, favourites are Swindon, followed by Belle Vue, Wolves and then Poole. If we get drawn against the Aces, then I think it's curtains for us.

Yes he is, really valuable at Monmore. However last year it was only Newman (and Ellis) who kept the Pirates afloat in the play-off semi-final.
